Nikko - Innova's Star Team Member

Because there is and has been people on the team longer that are more deserving. Ats a slap in the face to a lot of other team members past and present. Nothing against Nikko. But seriously I don't see why this is big news or why any of you care what's in his bag. I'm sure he could be on the lightning team and still do what he does. Move on fanboys.

Well said. End thread.

As Dunipace has stated in the past, signature discs go to players whose signature on the disc will potentially produce more sales of the disc than without the signature. It's mostly business reasons, not necessarily titles that matter.

More deserving? In what way? That they have been playing longer, but haven't won as much? How is Nikko less deserving than less skilled players? I don't see anyone more skilled than Nikko who isn't being rewarded for it.

I'm sure he could be on the lightning team and do the same as well. It has nothing to do with being a fanboy, it has to do with the number one rated player in the world moving to Innova Champion Discs, who is in essence the best disc company in the world. It's not necessarily that we care what is in his bag, it is just that through this change people would like to know what he has switched to. It is interesting to know what molds all pro's throw, this just happens to be a thread about Nikko and we are interested what he is throwing.

Move on haters...

In what way? Don't see a des reading or Val jenkins pro disc. Combined 6 world titles? Business out of it. Just go throw your own frisbees. He had like 4 non innova discs in his most recent bag video anyways, it's not too difficult to fill in the holes. What they throw isn't gonna make you play like them

So what's the prediction on what the NL Pro Aviar will be like?

A Wizard :D:D:D

Haha But it'll probably like the KC but a little tackier and slightly more flexible. Maybe a little rounder with a thinner flight plate.
Never know if it wont come out in a new plastic too, Innova's take on SSS or SS

thank you cody! as for you emook who are you to judge who are fanboys and who are not? get off this thread if you want to tell people who can and who can't comment on a subject that interests people. Go Troll some Putter Porn :)

I think the gaps he had to fill in were his
6 Wizz's
Buzz
2 Demons
Blaze
Sabres
2 Spirits
2 Illusions
and maybe a couple fillers that weren't displayed there.

Do you really think they needed Avery's sig on the Star Destroyer to make it sell?

I wouldn't say they needed it, but I bet more new players bought a Destroyer or Boss when they saw a pro's name on it. The destroyer was an established mold but for new players who didn't know that, AJ's name is most likely what sold it to them.

Imagine all the new players that would buy a Nikko Signature Series disc.

Chuck hit the nail on the head last page... I will not be surprised at all to see a Nikko Signature disc before he wins a world championship.

Nikko may be the most marketable player in disc golf. Think about it: he's really good, he has a 'look', he is extremely competitive and can be marketed as "cool". Look at the other guys: Feldberg kinda comes off as a stoner with a gut, Will and Wysocki as awkward kids still fighting through late adolescence, Climo as the old guy who doesn't wear belts... these aren't the guys who are going to sell discs to a new generation of disc golfers. It's wild haired Nikko and big strong jock Avery.

Don't be surprised to see a Nikko signature disc. That's what I'm getting at.

Baby Boomers are a fast growing segment of the disc golf market and actually have money to spend. Blizzard tech will help them (us) perhaps more than youngsters. Look for the Greenwell Blizzard Condor, Hosfeld Blizzard minis and CK Blizzard Zephyr...:p
