No fairway drivers?

Thing is, prior to 2006 or so, there were no such thing as a "fairway" driver. Here's two 11X Eagles that I have.

Not really. Orcs were 2004, firebirds and valks were 2000. So people had higher speed stuff then your classic "fairway" drivers rim size well before '06. Semantics aside, I do get your point.
 
I agree with the expressed sentiments above advocating for the lower speed drivers. I've found that as I've become more experienced, I've been using my fairway drivers (TBird, Firebird, Thunderbird) and mid ranges more and more and my max drivers less and less.
 
I don't think I could play the game without Fairways. I have had affairs with Gazelles, Teebirds, Cyclones, Leopards, Rivers at one point or other. But I used to play a lot in the New England woods courses.
