Parked: Let's Settle the Debate Once and for All

Take a look at the photo above and mark the disc(s) that you would refer to as "parked".

Pretty much all of them... anything that is an easy putt

but mebe 'parked' really means the first disc or maybe even the first three...

I'd still say all of them esp depending on what the hole is like... that last one would def be parked on a 400'+ hole (for example)

I think It's different for everyone. I call it parked when it's a putt that I know there is no way I can miss. So I would say anything closer than the 4th (orange) disc.

I couldn't imagine missing any of those putts. If the hole was 1000ft and all of those were 1st shots you would definitely say you parked the hole.

on a 150 foot hole, a 300 foot hole, or a 500 foot hole?

at 150 the ion is as far as I would call parked, but at 500 those are all parked.

gotta agree. I would say the last disc is maybe 15' out. if you are struggling with those, get a basket and practice till they are second nature. DG is a lot more fun when you are confident on those shots.

If you are playing a 120 and land 30 feet from the basket. Wouldn't that be the accuracy equivalent of landing 100 feet away on a standard 400 foot hole?

I agree with this. I know I've seen folks miss from the 4th, especially if it's windy (which of course won't bother Hysell ) The fifth one is no gimme. I also agree that I'd expect to make all 5.

haha, I was wondering the same thing.


I have heard people say if you can't drop it in, it's not parked". Anyone agree with that?
