Whats the story with your employer buying 9 baskets? thats awesome  but I would get a few feet closer before calling that a park job.... :D did you make the putt?

Yes I made the putt. :D Had a good tailwind today and landed 3ft past it.

The story behind GE buying baskets........... the campus already has softball, basketball, cricket & soccer fields. All centered around a HealthAhead Program designed to encourage employees to get out and do some physical activities. The have teams for each sport that go around to the different buildings and promote their sport to get more players. I hit up the HealthAhead leader to include disc golf in their participation clinics and after a couple years of begging and bringing my basket to work, they looked at my plan for a short course onsite and agreed to buy baskets.

BAM! Nine Discatchers that I can almost see from my desk.

There's a handful of players spread around the campus that play casually and I hope to get them all together this year and send them back to their respective buildings and promote the sport to other employees.

291' hole on page 291 of this thread! :D

Very cool, btw. I've laid out 9 holes at my work, too. I haven't approached management but we also have health incentive programs going on, too. Plus we have a maintenance dept that could rock some "home made" baskets. Maybe this will motivate me to pitch the idea.

There ya go !

Emphasize the health aspects of disc golf and make the course short and safe. I can play a solo round in 35 min. 2471ft total.

Even got DisCap registered as an official vendor so members can play it(with an employee escort, me).

Pearce Park in Grants Pass, OR from a few years back.

The have a nice little selection of discs there, if somewhat expensive.

My Mom and her friends have put a team together for the Virginia Senior Games to play Pickle ball & horse shoes. I talked them in to playing disc golf and today was the putting lessons.

They had a lot of fun and picked it up really quickly. Next lesson open field distance throws with DX Leopards.

Release-face is ridiculous. If nobody has ever phtographed you immediately post release you're missing out, its pretty embarrassing

No kidding, I saw a pic of myself in mid-throw that my buddy's girlfriend caught on her phone, I had sinews/veins popping out of my neck and I was sticking my tongue out like a derpy version of Michael Jordan. I imagine that is how I look every throw... How do people not laugh?

Finally got to play 18 at Slippery Rock. This will be a sweet view watching the pros come up this hill for finals at worlds!

Where was my phone when I needed it

I wish I had a picture of this one.

This morning I hit the branch of a tree 50 feet in front of the tee at full speed, the driver stopped dead in its tracks, flipped over, and came to rest upside down 1 foot in front of the point of contact 8 feet off the ground.

One of the members of our group described it like a goalie making a glove save on a slapshot.

To find myself on the other side of the camera, I am lucky if I can get a good shot of me. I set the settings and hand it off. The rest is hit or miss. So, some production editing is often in order to jazz them up some.
