It was a sacrificial DGCR stamped Teebird KniceZ gave me. Didn't stand a chance in the wind.^That's awesome. You can see the disc.
Same valley filled with fog, about an hour and a half earlier (taken from the side of the road on way to the lodge):
Great pic - the old golf clubhouse at mountain lake. I wonder how many discs have been launched off that cliff?

Unfortunately - no. But the course does have some GREAT views. It's up on top of the mountain at an OLD golf course that's been closed for a LONG time.

Had to hike it up the road. Yeah the road was in a great shape last week and not sure why it was closed. I was there a year and half ago and that road was terrible, but open then.Did they let you drive up the mountain road to the course or did you have to park at the gate and walk the 1.2 miles?
I was just there in october and they said the road had gotten too dangerous to drive. I walked up there and the road wan in much better shape than my first 2 visits the previous year.
The wind in the valley can be crazy. First time it bounced my disc about 50' higher then sent it hard to the right up the valley. Second time just the opposite. Third time almost calm got a straight shot that eventually hyzered. Same day my buddy threw one that flew forever until it finally lost steam and dropped straight down from above the trees on the valley floor.
I have a great video but have not figured out how to post photos and videos on here yet.
My first visit, there was so much fog that driving up to the lodge you could see trees on the right and nothing but clouds on the left. Played most of the day with the fog. It was really cool to launch a disc, see it disappear into the fog and then have to watch the ground to see where the disc comes out of the fog.
