Saw this the other day thought it would be sweet to scoot around the course with one of these. I like how it has the flat racks above the fenders you could easily put a bag on one side and a cooler or whatever on the other. A little pricey though about $7,000.00 brand new.

This would not work on most courses due to water crossings, terraced greens, rocky terrain, tall grass, etc, etc, etc.

nevermind midnightbikers's epic pic, but the excersize of walking is part of the game, and good for you anyway.

didn't the pga basically say the same thing to the guy who lobbied to get around on a cart a few years ago? (not sure who the guy was or what the outcome was.)

Nah dude, my buddies got one of these (well a similar home made version with a plastic cooler instead of the sweet chrome.)

so.... it's an ace if you can knock someone off of one of these with a laser drive to the dome-piece, right? :D

Why make DG like ball golf where you don't even wrinkle your shirt, let alone sweat in it?

Professional golfers walk the course as part of the PGA rules. Remember a few years back there was a slightly disabled pro golfer who wanted to be allowed to ride in a cart, but the PGA wouldn't let him?

There's also plenty of amateur golfers who walk the course for the exercise, or as a matter of principle.

So golf isn't a sport where you don't wrinkle your shirt, and if you're even outside in 90F weather, not to mention swinging metal clubs, you're going to sweat no matter who you are.

But yes, carts are more distasteful in disc golf than in ball golf. Take the money you'd spend on that offroad Segway and donate it to your local club. Think how much course maintenance they could do with $7000? Or take the money you'd spend on that offroad Segway and sponsor a local tournament. :D

Anything with a creek running through it would be impassible for any kind of segway, unless there's a wide enough bridge.
