My bad on the triple post. Any comments on my bag setup are most welcome
Which one? :p

What do you use the RRs for that the Starfires won't do?

It is true the rr and the beat starfires do somewhat overlap. Im just starting to get the hang of throwing annies so i had/have the rr in there to make it easier on myself while i was learning. I would imagine that by the end of the summer it will be all starfires in different stages of wear. Also i didnt have any starfires that were sufficiently beat until recently, at least none that i didnt lose once they were properly beat.

Well, I was inclined to make a new thread, but this one seems as if it gets enough traffic.

I've decided to empty all the super-fast drivers out of my bag, because, well, if I ain't breaking 350' with them I've got no business throwing them. I'm dropping the number of molds I carry and will spend the next two months working on form problems that are severely restricting my potential distance (which are masked by the high-speed drivers). Any opinions are welcome, including suggestions to add certain molds and replace molds currently in the bag.

Drivers:

175g moderately beat DX Teebird
175g beat-in DX Teebird
172g Z XS (I'm guessing this one could probably be dropped, but I'm not sure)
172g DX Gazelle
170g beat-in Z Pred (I've gotten this to the point where it has a lot of nice glide for a pred)
175g ESP Pred (for windy days and spike Hyzers)

Mids

Either a new DX Roc or KC Roc; I haven't made that purchase yet
175g beat-in DX Roc
175g trashedDX Roc

Putters

175g Black DX Aviar for all putts 50' and in
175g White DX Aviar for short upshots
Two thumbs up.

I did almost that exact same thing last year and trust me, you won't miss those high speed drivers as much as you think you will. You'll wonder why you didn't do it earlier.

I'd keep away from the XS for the most part, but it won't hurt to try to throw it every once in a while. It's fun to see how far it goes after a month of throwing Teebirds and Gazelles.

Why the Surges and the Flashes? What does one do that the other doesn't?

I use Surges for D, and the Flashes are highly controllable, so they're my workhorses. I realize, theres a little overlap, and flashes are kinda fast, but the mentalist in me loves flashes too much to not throw them.

I could probably get similar D with Flashes, but I can do a lot more with Surges.
