For the grizzled tournament veteran where two long 18s in a day is pretty normal, you MUST have some diaper rash cream in your bag. Lube up before round one if you wanna make it through day.
Probably a hat. The sun is bright.
a tripod stool
I use it to:
- swat at bugs, clear spider webbing
- for retrieving discs off the fairway, in a tree, or if I land in water ob just out of reach
- set my bag on it when the ground is muddy or buggy. It also helps reduce fatigue because it's easier to reach
- I'll sometimes use it as a measuring device from a hazardous ob line. It saves me the first 2 of 3 steps of relief
- oddly enough, sitting on
I feel super weird playing without a hat on. Also, the coozie is essential
Can't believe I forgot coozie. I was scarred for life about 4 years ago when I was playing Village of Pinehurst DGC on a 103 degree day. My buddy drinks some nasty malt liquor that comes in a 24 oz. black can (211 I think). He made one can last an entire 1:45 round. I have tasted his nasty beer when it was ICE cold and nearly threw up in my mouth. SO after almost 2 hours in the sun with no coozie, watching him drink that swill scarred me. So much so that I always carry extra coozies in case someone forgets theirs. Of course when I loan one out I always say "for christ sake would you cover yourself" in my best Chet from Weird Science voice.
I had to find this during a recent 3 day, 8 course road trip. By the end of day 2 my "undercarriage" was screaming.
I'd used a similar product in the past for running/cycling called Body Glide but it costs twice as much and isn't really any better. 3 dudes walking into a Meijer at 10 pm asking for "Body Glide" got a funny look. They directed us to the sex lube and condoms, lol. Obviously they didn't understand what we were looking for. I guess they aren't the endurance sport type that has to deal with these things.
Man I hate monkey butt.
I don understand how people can do that! Makes me cringe...even a tall boy of Coors or Budweiser isnt all too awful when its warm. Id rather go for some foo-foo fruity adult beverage over some malt liquor in heat like that.
I recently got one of the metal Yeti knock-off can coozies, best investment ever. Keeps your beverage of choice nice and chilly with a little extra ninja factor.
A baseball (to rescue discs stuck in trees)
