When is Pease closing?

I'd love to play Pease Park in Austin one more time before it's closed. I've heard it will happen sometime this fall. Does anyone know of a specific time when the baskets will be removed?

I heard it would not close until a replacement course was built at an existing park in east austin but the residents that live in that east Austin neighborhood just voted to not put a course in their park so I think that means Pease will stay open until the city of Austin finds a suitable replacement. Even if Pease is closed it will more than likely be temporary since Austin loves being a mecca of hippy fringe sports like disc golf and Pease is the Austin icon of hippy fringe sports.

There are much better DG courses in Austin.Gotta respect it's history though.

Im with you. I want to take a 3 day weekend down there this fall and play as many courses as possible. Pease being at the top of that list.

Just hit up Pease on a trip down to Austin. Absolutely loved it! Wanted to play it before it closed, but not sure if it's closing based on info I've read here.
