Does the program use GPS to measure distance traveled or just add the course lengths together?
(Don't currently have a smartphone but thinking of trying one soon, too lazy to worry about putting in scores all the time, but I am kinda curious to know how far I'm walking.)

How in the flying hell is a relatively open 350ft shot be a Par 5?
I am referring to your "double eagles" at Medicine Lodge DGC Hole #3.

I'm guessing I'll hit 600 rounds at close to 200 courses by the end of the summer. I really want to go play just about everything in VA and NC while I'm on vacation. And I don't really keep track of my putts anymore. Maybe I should.

Question on that - how do all of you who keep the putting stats count those? Just throws within the circle? So if you make a 50-footer, that counts as 0 putts? Any thoughts here?

Also, I hate that the number of "eagles" and "double eagles" here are so inflated. This harkens back to when my local course was using local course par values. Any way to retroactively change all that, Tim?

I keep putting stats and I count the 32' circle. Anything inside 11 big strides is a putt and I'm expecting to make them. At least in my head I own them. In reality, I miss a couple most rounds.

Over 45' is a zero putt to me. I figure that's 150% of the standard and those 38-40 footers I call a Big Putt but don't count against me if I miss.

Pretty much just count shots within what I estimate is the circle.
