Hole #3 tips

Measures 636 but, in theory, only plays about 308 due to 140-foot drop.

In reality, it's hard to hit the 30-foot gap about 375-feet down the hill between a large trunk on the right and a huge arching pine on the left. Few shots actually hit the gap flat enough to carry far beyond it.

Beyond the gap are many large trees moderately spaced, giving a different look to every upshot.

Go more understable than you think. And keep it low.

Creative option (potentially successful): If you can find a route that somehow places your drive about 100 feet left and slightly beyond the obvious gap, the approach shot will be way more open than a drive landing in the middle of the main fairway.

Creative option (dubious): Try a tomahawk or hook thumber off the tee. Downhill overhand throws don't glide like flat shots; you probably won't reach the gap.
