Pros:
- Three tee pads per hole, most are now concrete
- Infrastructure is good, baskets, wayfinding, tee signs, benches, etc.
- Washers in the ground in the direction of next hole is genius
- Lots of different terrain including grass, dirt, rocks, etc. for upshots
- Good variety of distances from hole to hole
- Slight elevation changes add additional factors to throwing
- Lots of trees to try and avoid but many you won't
- Second course on site
- Excellent amenities including a pro shop and places to sit down and eat lunch
Cons:
- Many of the holes feel and look the same
- You will throw the same discs and shots over and over again
- Feels like it favors the RHBH player slightly
- No true challenging par 4 holes, only generous par 4 holes
- Throwing off the top of the tower towards the 6 baskets stacked on top of each other isn't a hole anywhere here and needs to be an official hole 19 IMO
Other Thoughts:
This course just isn't as special as the putter course on site. I think this is still a solid track but if you said you played the short course twice and went home I wouldn't have blasted you for not playing this one. If you only have time for one, play the other. Still this is worth a play but I would call it a solid/decent course not a great one. If you just want to bag it, the red tees are pretty short and can be played in under an hour.
