Pros:
The number one PRO of this course is undoubtedly the owners of the course. They have given all of us a great opportunity to enjoy an unbelievably beautiful piece of land. They are such great people and are always welcoming in every way possible. This is definitely a Championship level course that is settling into its final layout. The recent addition of concrete tees, in my opinion, takes away the only possible negative aspect of the course I could imagine. Even before they were in, this course was my favorite by far.
Elevation change and basket placement are great throughout the entire course. You will find yourself being amazed that you threw a disc as far as you did, and three holes later asking how you could come up so short. I am not a great golfer by any means, but I love a challenging course, and this one fits the bill. The wind that can kick up will definitely remind you how hard disc golf can be in open areas. The new wooded holes are a great change of pace to the 1000+ foot bomber holes that you see earlier in the round. The final hole is definitely the most picturesque I have ever played.
The on-site fully stocked disc golf store, camping, fishing, entertainment area, and food availability are just extra pluses on an already amazing property.
Cons:
If you decided to play two rounds in the same day, you will surely feel it the following day! But it is still worth it.
Other Thoughts:
There will be some amazing tournaments thrown here in the future. You might as well come get acquainted with this property if you like playing big time tournament courses. Soon you will be seeing Persimmon Ridge DGC host some of the biggest tournaments in the area!
