Shoulder timing

Working on the fall into rotation. Feels different for sure, almost like the front hip going down is what initiates the throw. Super high reach back and it looks like my turn and shift are out of sync, really focusing on falling down and it was easier to do with that.

Yeah, you turn back too early and starting tipping/falling over head first, instead of falling butt first and turning back while striding hips forward.

Im definitely 'feeling' the difference in the drills you mentioned, just having a tough time translating it to standstill throws. I think in the figure 8 drill video, you mention starting the throw when the disc is out in front (forward address i think you call it), at that point Im focusing on bracing against the inner part of my back foot, and in turn i want to immediately lift up my front foot and start shifting forward. But looking at your old standstill video, it looks like you start shifting/lifting plant foot up about halfway during the backswing. Not sure if the brace described should be more of a linear build up maybe? Sorry for long post/hope that makes sense.

You have no rear hip hinge/forward spine/chest tilt toward knees in your backswing. So you are lifting your chest up out of compression/taking off the pressure cooker of the tilted spiral as SC would say.

Your vertical motion pattern is backwards. All your backswing motion is downward into the rear leg. When you make your forward move/transition out of backswing you are rising upward off your rear leg, instead of dropping lower like a battering ram.

You should feel more levitation on the rear leg/hip earlier in the backswing. And then fall into transition, and back up to finish.

Focusing on falling into the brace and coming back up.
Felt like i was making some progress, but looking at the video, it looks like i'm losing the rear hip hinge again. It might be because i rock back and forth before throwing? When i start the back swing i feel like i have momentum going backwards, i think i started that after doing the figure8 drill. Maybe hips need to stay more stationary?

I think it looks a little better, but need to start shifting forward earlier. I think camera behind tee might help show some things. You look a bit open stance starting backswing. Try doing the walk back drill to start backswing. You can do this in a wider east-west stagger than I'm showing here, just don't try extreme stagger when using a wider north-south stance. The rear foot should move diagonally / depending on the width of stance. So in a wide north-south stance feet should closer inline, while narrower north-south stance should have deeper east-west stagger.

doing this drill (also thinking back to figure 8 video about making an infinity symbol with hips) it feels natural to start adding tension to the back foot (counter-clockwise) at the beginning of the back swing (disc out in front). So much easier to naturally glide forward when i do this. Feels like an aha moment, but could be wrong as I have been so many times before.

Felt like i was shifting forward earlier, but still looks like I am out of sync with the turn. Struggling to get the concept of moving all the weight to my back leg with the momentum going backwards into gliding forward right after.
