Pros:
Family friendly atmosphere located in residential area featuring shorter holes and a childrens park nearby. Natural mountain setting, some slopes and a few challenges also make for a nice warm-up for Canmore Nordic just minutes down the highway. Overall cleanliness, visual appeal, full signage with alternate tees and good baskets make this a worthy stop. If you're bringing kids, it could be a destination. A permanent porta-potty was added to the course near the parking lot/kid's park - very helpful for family outings.
Cons:
Gravel tee pads have worn in, pivot holes getting deep. Paved path along course is well used, dog walkers/pedestrians occasionally walk through course. Some signage out of date as to distance and alternate pin locations.
-update Sept 26/10 - tee pads have been raked and repaired, much nicer to drive off of.
Other Thoughts:
Mostly short holes with a few challenges presented by landscaping obstacles, bring your short game. Caution must be exercised running a couple of the holes as wayward or over-driven shots can present a hazard to nearby golfers/park users. A pleasant stop.
- Update 2013: Baskets were placed out in the open more this year, hoping for a bit more challenge for 2014.
- Update summer 2014: Holes 7 and 8 are closed. The course will be redesigned for 2015.
