Pros:
- Concrete tees
- Good baskets
- Good design. A nice mix of wooded and open. A nice mix of easier and harder. This is a true Medium course, as opposed to the usual "Short" or "Long". IMO, there aren't enough courses like this that are just under/over 6000 feet. Places keep opting for a short course and a long course. That's nice, but Medium is where it's at!
- Pro shop
- Friendly owner
Cons:
- Undergrowth is reasonable, but I would like to see even more clearing. Fairways are alright, but once you veer off of them (and, admit it, we all do eventually), it gets bushy fast. I especially hate when there are fern groves near a fairway. Those eat discs like they're made of chocolate and peanut butter! And even my brighter-than-the-sun MVP discs can't be seen beneath them.
- A couple of the tees were cracked and had shifted to be uneven.
- Signs are out of date in places, including basket location on a couple.
- Not a lot of selection in the pro shop
Other Thoughts:
I definitely like this place. It's a haul, but I make the effort at least once a year because I enjoy the mix. A good medium length course is hard to find, and this is definitely a good one.
