Pros:
this course has some major flaws, but its young so hopefully they will correct some things...
-great tee pads, perfect size and texture
-brand new discatchers
-front 9 short and tight, back 9 are mostly long and open
-requires nearly every shot in your bag throughout the 18..
-trees shape the course, no brush to speak of
-upshots and putting are essential for a good score
-course is away from other park goer's
-next tee signs were helpful tho numerous signs were uprooted
-majority of the holes offer numerous lines, the holes that dont are lacking for sure
Cons:
course needs some work.
-hole 2 is a 90 degree throw from the box and is a very short hole, 3's tee is directly in the path of the implied line. no mando could even help
-hole 4's tee is a jump putt behind 3's basket, also a short hole, so is the case for several more holes.
-if this course ever gets backed up, people on tee boxes WILL get domed, no question.
-numbers on baskets dont face the tee, which caused for a lot more walking than should have
-long walk from 9-10, not a big deal, but a little confusing as youre walking past the road, a playground, and walking paths- seeing other baskets.
-no signs guided direction from tee to pins
-hole 12 throws 500' directly in between 2 baskets equal distance apart. goes to the right side basket. wouldve been easier had i brought binoculars..
-layout could have been more exciting had they utilized the adjacent pond instead of throwing in an open field for holes 12-14.
Other Thoughts:
from the moment i pulled up i was confused. i started on number ten, as i walked around for ten minutes towards wrong baskets.
-i wont be treking from north of okc to play this course unless im randomly in the area. i would have rather gone to woodson in all honesty.
-hopefully someone with some disc sense will step up and make some changes to this young course.
