Not at all useful as a putter. But, it is useful for escape shots that you have to throw on end and you can't have the disc roll. Even if it lands on its edge, it flops over and stops almost immediately.
Some of the courses I used to play had some pretty severe slopes that could cause devastating runaways. It helped...though I definitely feel like a NOOB every time I use the thing.
