Try a DGA Tsunami. It's the older, less stable Predator mold.

Going by the numbers, a Tsunami is faster and just as overstable. The Riptide looks to have almost identical numbers, although I know you can't always go by the numbers.

So I guess people go to more then one Ace race. I guess luckily I have at least 2 near me and ones at the beginning of Sep and the others at the end so I should have no problem getting to both.

Theyve never released a high speed driver or fairway distance driver for an ace race and i dont see them starting it now.

The Ace Race ad on their site will no longer take you anywhere when you click on it.

Ya that would be kool, my oldest lives there. I enjoy playing the courses around DesMoines, but that would mean moving away from wildcat, that would be a sin. As far as the Ace Race, I think it would be a blast throwing just one disc per hole, i just dont think i would ever hit a ace, only been discing a year.

2005 Sparkle tsunamis were great....and you are correct

I personally would like to see then re-introduce the Storm mold....for those of you who don't know it was a laser mid/fairway hybrid.

I would also like to see something like the Storm. I felt like the 2008 Ace Race disc, Nebula was similar in flight to the Storm. The Storm was a little faster but the Nebula had a more reliable fade and could do a few more varieties of shots.

I know you can beat up a Ringer but Pro D is the worst plastic I've ever felt

I do not know about the other TDs on this list, but we placed our order when we should and they have not arrived. Last year we did not receive our packs until three days before the event. I am thinking the same will hold true again. Trust me, once I have those discs in my hand, I will hype them as much as I can to get more interest in my tournament.

I love my Z-Storm.. one of those discs I'll probably stockpile a few of wehen I get a chance. Makes a great compliment to the Stratus, nice when both feel so similiar that you can work on release and let the disc do the work. :thmbup:

I am the TD for the one in Cypress, TX. I do not have the discs yet. Don't even have a tracking number for a shipment.

This is my fourth Ace Race to run. From my experience, it does not matter when you place your order, Discraft does no ship till just before your event. In the past, for a Saturday event, I usually get the discs on Wednesday before the event.
