I'm just going to enjoy it while I can (aka talk shit). Your backlog of played courses this year alone has got to be ridiculous. I'm damn near out of courses to review within a couple hours of me now, and even those I'd have played already and they're not good lol.

Yea, I have been going backwards when I have been catching up. The last couple were from April disc golf days.

I will be reviewing the 4 courses I played yesterday, all 4 were Mike Brown Louisiana State Park courses. Today, I am hating Mr. Brown.

Pizza God has reached 100 reviews for the second time! He last hit the mark when he wrote 103 reviews in 2016, a mark he's now only four reviews from topping.

This makes Pizza God the 8th reviewer to have multiple century marks, joining The Valkyrie Kid, mashnut, harr0410, MrFrosty, Shadrach3, and wellsbranch250.

This also makes 2024 the 9th year in DGCR history where we have had at least two people hit 100 reviews.

The list is starting to fill up more with folks who aren't at their first rodeo. Only two people on the list (GMcAtee and smithinggolfer) have not been in a top 25 previously, and smithing is the 2024 rookie in terms of when they started reviewing. As for the rest of the crew here, they average 4.35 previous appearances on a top 25. That being said, 26-35 are filled with would-be first timers, so there' time to get some new blood in the mix.

The range of minimum reviews needed to get on a lists has ranged from 20 to 36 over the years minus 2007. Currently, history tells us our top nine should be locked in at this point as they have hit the 36 mark. Our magic number is currently at 11, but there's plenty of time for that threshold to increase.

Oh, and Wolf reviewed another 40 courses. It's his world, you're just living in it.

We're still at three new entries this year for the all-time list, but we will likely start seeing additional names in the next couple months, as more reviewers are getting within 10-15 reviews of that 55 review benchmark.

Wolf has entered the top 5, with only mashnut, Dave242, The Valkyrie Kid, and MrFrosty ahead of him (ever heard of those guys?) Top 3 seems like a lock, but can he get into the 200s, or even take the top spot?

Pizza God is also now only one review away from matching his personal high mark, and Sillybizz is 15 from matching his and adding another century mark to his reviewing resume.

I'm sure wolf's 163 reviews so far(!) this year are light years ahead as far as word count or whatever way you want to measure the amount of information provided.

Greens should give wolfhaley a commission or profit sharing or something. (assuming this place actually makes money)

I do like the addition of the lists in the member's page to call more attention to those kind of contributions, such as media items. The review count list is also a good way to show who is seen as a good contributor to the site in quality in addition to quality.

Rochester area was slackin and lackin in pictures. Honestly, that's the most annoying thing for me to do. It's usually crappy courses that I need to bag AND now need to take multiple pics of each hole on. A lot of times it's my own damn fault because I added the course because I was bored one night.

I'm not the only one doing this though. You do work and the others Tyler listed.

@greens may or may not have hooked me up with a free year of premium though. I thought mine was going to expire in June. It didn't. He could throw some gas money my way though if he wants

Playing the crappy courses is definitely extra fun when you're also trying to remember to take 9+ pictures. Feels like a job just as much as a round.

Uploading is the easy part. Having to properly tag each picture (Hole #1 tee, Hole #1 approach, Hole #1 basket to tee, etc.) is where it gets tedious.

If you've been doing this long enough, you'll remember when a photo was too large to upload. TimG had a link to another site where we'd have to upload said photo for it to get resized into a file size that works for this site. It could easily take 5 minutes per each photo. Now, that was some SERIOUS dedication for the guys who did it back in the day.
