Shun the frumious Bandersnatch!
McBeth Destroyers made my arm hurt to throw. They're absolute beef. I know I'm generalizing again here, but out of like 12 McBeth Destroyers I've thrown, maybe 2 had high speed turn. The rest were glideless beef. Good for headwinds, but much shorter than other Destroyers in calm conditions.
Here's my next generalization: I've had 3 Ricky raptor Destroyers so far, and they've all flown the same. Glidey, and true to the numbers.
However, if we've learned anything over the years its that you can't really assume anything with Destroyers. I've thrown a ton of them during that time. I notice trends, but every time I think I have things figured out I'll find a disc that surprises me.
Your best bet when buying a Destroyer is to buy it from a store so you can see/hold the disc. That way you can figure out if it has the characteristics you want. Ordering online you don't know what you're going to get when you open the package.
underline I agree as all plastics of Destroyers have discs in specific runs that defy how that version is going to fly/feel. The only way to buy online is if you get the disc from a online store that takes pictures of the Wing/disc nose and showing the amount of dome.
