Also what about KC?
Has anyone else noticed that KC plastic has an odd static-ey feel to it, especially in cold dry whether? Even to the extent that dust and stuff is attracted to it? It just never feels right to me.

Don't worry Jesse. That may look like a thread jack, but I'm helping bump your page count. 66 to go.
no way, you are keeping us on track
and yeah that+the slicker grip in general is why i dont really throw KC's.....unless all the slick is beaten off of them :) (takes around 6 months of heavy use depending on the run)

hey Darth Vadar! are comets better than rocs?

this photo was taken after a drive with a comet (it went OB, killed a baby kitten and then burst into flames)

Top picture..how you feel when you fist throw the comet....bottom picture...how you feel when you realize there is no way to repeat that on a regular basis.

I do hate hate the ROC specialist bullshit. I need a blue 177 kc pro with the chalk Finnish..That shit is so bunk. Give me a stack of ten rocs and they will all fly like rocs.

I don't know what a fist throw is but it sounds violent.

I threw some Roc shots today for the first time in a few months and I do still love em. I could take out my "other mid" and toss in a Roc and not really miss the other too much. I will say the Roc glides less than I am used to but some of the light weight DX's I got to throw went for a long long way.

I just picked up 4 seasoned ranchos off EBAY. I think im going to leave the comets at home tomorrow and see how i fair with just rocs.

Rocs are the absolute most consistent mold in my bag, and my bag is build around consistent, dependable discs.

At this point, if someone told me I couldn't throw rocs anymore for one reason or another, I'd quit playing disc golf.

....well that's a bit extreme, but I probably wouldn't throw mids for a long long time (until a true roc clone came out [and a wasp is no roc clone,] )

So your platform is: "Wasp, I own Rocs. I throw Rocs. Rocs are a friend of mine. Wasp, you're no Roc."

I just put a new Glo Rancho in the bag and the plastic seems very durable. I threw it for a whole round hit a tree or two and absolutely no nicks, dings or scrapes.

Tried the Buzz for a few weeks; nice disc but it is not replacing my Rocs.
For me a beat Roc is as understable as I want or need.

Got some premium plastic Rocs and even though they are not readily available they are nice to throw. My Champion Roc stays overstable and has not broken in in almost a year. Just got a Star 2009 and it is very grippy and is staying pretty stable so far.

I'm about to start just buying rocs in bulk. Even rocs I bitch about aren't bad. Any Cincinnati area guys wanna go 1/2 zies on them?

What else can you ask for in a mid?
Stable, fights wind, good distance, not nose sensitive, holds lines pretty well

I am either too old or too into politics because I got that reference.

Now I get it! But I have put a ESP Wasp and a Champion Roc together side by side and it looks exactly the same. Am I missing something or are they they same mold?
