Video clips by jr, lcgm8, mafa and others

I'm with Whiz. I loved the comments and you didn't go on and on. I do love where you show the distance for the hole before the first throwers shot. I get a better idea of how far the throws are going. Keep up the great work. Super videos!

Where'd Ville disappar to halfway through pt.4?

Ville goes through elbow troubles now and then. A side effect of throwing so many overheads and sidearms, no doubt.

Just seemed kinda strange, he just finished ripping a great drive and was joking around in the background as the others drove, then no shot of him putting followed by a quick DFN and on to the next hole sans ville.

Anyway, great work on the coverage JR, thanks again for all the work, really enjoyed it. That course looks awesome too, i'd love to get over there for it one year.

I'm gonna be busy for a while so i may not be able to visit here that often because i'm going to the Dutch Open soon and before that i will see what us Finns can do about distributing Dutch Open 2010 full HD video for free to everyone in this country. If good things happen we can pull off digital distribution of a free full DO 2010 competition available to all. We couldn't find a cheap way to do it over the net. Maybe we can get help to make this happen. We welcome suggestions.

It is 5 DVDs in size. The files are in MP4 format so that people can watch it on computers and if they are not slow you can enjoy the video without any investments.

We'll start slowly by spreading a few copies in Finland to clubs to loan and copy to their members. And i'll try to get copies to players from more countries at DO 2011 so that they could start spreading of the videos. I also try to send off copies to some touring pros in America. I'll wait for larger scale publication for now because i suspect this is gonna cost me an arm and a leg. And it will definitely take time to make copies and send them around. I hope to get the copy for the PDGA headquarters going tomorrow. I'll get back to you with more information later. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I'll start making a few more copies now.

I don't have time to tell disclaimers about rush job that this was. We know it could be improved but we need the time to polish the videos of the events we were commissioned to cover. This was a bonus event. We hope to publish a better other event at a later date from 2010 too. It's not ready and this season is already starting in a week. And we are short on time.

Is there interest for DGR copy to be sent to other members to be copied to everyone they know that want it to be copied to their friends and so on?

Edit: The music copyright belongs to the band so that is not free to use. You have to get permission from them to use the music.

Reality on why European players aren't winning often against American players despite immense talent. Interview with the Danish Champion at the Scandinavian Open:

One of two European players that have a world title in Open division. Dubs 1993 & 1994. Also disc designer of Latitude64 degrees. Also with interesting stop motion comparison of Tomas, Espen, Juho and Christian from left to right shot at 60 FPS. That's 2x world champion, European champion, Finnish distance record holder and world distance record holder. What's interesting is that Tomas is one of the sources of throwing form for Blake_t the founder of this site. So much of the advice we give here comes from him. I cross post this here for better visibility:

That is each round coverage of the Dutch Open the first Eurotour event of disc golf in 2010.

I made it with Juha Alkkiomäki so we have the right to spread it. The music copyright belongs to the band so ask them for premission to use it if you need it. Thank you for creating the torrent file lemberger. Some have had trouble unzipping the file and i don't know yet what is going on with it but some have gotten it to play correctly. VLC Player, Media Player Classic and K-Lite codec pack are usual suspects for playback. Some programs don't seem to unzip the file correctly. I haven't received enough feedback to know which program doesn't produce CRC errors.

Please download this video and tell everyone of it and keep on uploading it so that others can get it.

We trail blaze to see what kind of response full HD high bit rate video that is not degraded by Youtube creates. The larger the screen the more you'll think you're there.

We want to promote the sport so please tell everyone of this. Maybe we can get more players, sponsors, payouts and better events. At some point we will release a better looking other event from 2010.

The second round looks odd on most current machines. It is an intentional effort to raise the visibility of the disc among the trees. On great graphic adapters and monitors it looks great without troubles in the colors. That is a long story involving different color range for televisions and computer monitors.

I hosted yelling at as constant volume as i had time to do. For technical reasons so that people with less than perfect audio reproduction systems could make out better what i was saying. Which is not perfect and we have errors in the video which we hadn't time to correct. The time is spent on better looking events being polished for top quality. Those events were covered because the organizers asked us to do it and make videos. I haven't tested it yet but there should be an alternative audio track without narration if you don't like it.

Hope you'll enjoy the video,

Janne Räsänen also on behalf of Juha Alkkiomäki

Just listen to the pop of the disc. You guys do great work. Thank you

Oh no!!! The guy that made the torrent used a Mac. It uses FAT32 file system that limits the size of single files to 4 gigabytes. And i think some files may have been larger. Not only that the files are compressed with zip and that has created other issues. I am in Holland for the Dutch Open 2011 now and can't do anything now. I published the availability of this video because another Mac guy said it was working fine for him.

People with PCs had said that there is a CRC error in there (Mac added hidden Mac files to the zipped file) and that the final and one earlier part are fine the rest not so.

I can't do anything here but hopefully another functional non compressed version with proper file system is used for another attempt to release this free of troubles.

Sorry for the hassle.

lcgm8 used a new camera with much better image quality. I think the editing software has a bug and it makes that odd bar in the bottom of the picture. It's happened before on the edge of the video.

The players are multiple Danish Champ Karl Johan Nybo, twice second in the worlds Markus Källström, European and Finnish champ Ville Piippo seemingly recuperated enough to use overhead shots and reigning world and European junior champ Seppo Paju.
