Whats in your bag......the 2010 edition!

Pretty basic, but I feel it covers all the shots I could need. The Tsunami and Flick may have a bit of overlap, but I tend to use them in different ways.

Beaver - putter
FLX Buzzz - Mid - Beat in perfectly
Tourny Plastic Cyclone - Straight and Turnover Drivers, also rollers - Carry one newish, and a beat J-Bird
Z Wildcat - Driver - Different weight depending on wind
Tsunami - Driver - Forehands - Love this disc, highly underrated imho
Z Flick - Trick - Spikes - Forehands - The Flick is like cheating, it has gotten me out of so many bad situations

Always looking for backups as well, if anyone has extras.

If someone gets bored or has some time on their hands it would be pretty interesting to see a break down of # of people who throw X disc.

I think I'm pretty happy now with my bag for this year. Let's see how long I can resist the temptation of new plastic.. But nothing faster than the OLF until 2011, that's a promise!

There's a number of discs in my bag, here are the ones that get thrown every round, in rough order of how often I throw them.

Pure (Zero, 174) (All my Putting)
Roc (KC Pro, 175)
Buzz (Whatever their fancy plastic is, 175)
Eagle-X (Star, 175)
Eagle-X (Star, 167)
Trident (Opto, 174?)
Striker (Opto, 174)
Road Runner (Champ, 175)

Beyond those, backups of the Pure (In Zero and Grip), backup cheap heavy Rocs, a 150 Roc, a 150 Polaris LS that I'm playing with, an Opto XXX that I can't throw, sometimes an Epic....
thinking about snagging one of those Ion putters next, we'll see

My Car Keys
My sunglasses
Chap Stick
Lighter
Pen
Towell

Wait a minute, you are probably talking about discs.

Star Katana sometimes two if I am actually playing a longer course, most courses this disc will stay in the bag
CE Valk
SE Valk BEAT roller disc
Star Teebird stable
SE Teebird beat to awesomeness best flying disc I got
150 firebird use for a few trick shots overhand, flicks, headwind shots.
155 gummy gazelle
168 FLX buzz
170 Wasp
KC aviar
SE Rhyno, maybe a pro rhyno as a backup.

No matter how simpil I try to make it I still have too many disks to carry around in a casual game of disc golf. I used to swear by the valk, then I started throwing a teebird further and farther which has got me thinking that maybe I don't need the Valk anymore. The Katana is definately the longest disc in my bag however It gets used once a round.

I used them less and less so i took them out, my Cores work for anything out to 350 and over that i have Halos in different stabilitys. Who knows i might put a few back in the bag if i ever find a need for them again. Great disc, i just never used them.

I've changed mine around a little lately. It's a little more non-minimal but I like it better

D Challengers (4) - 174

Champ Gator - 175
X Buzzzes (2) - 175
Z Buzzz - 175

11X firebird - 175
Champ Glow Whippet X - 175
Champ teebirds (2) - 172

Pro Destroyer (2) - 172
1st run star Destroyer - 172
Monarchs (2) - 175

Epics (2)

I replaced valkyries with Monarchs and added in a whippet x. I can hit some crazy overhand lines with a whippet that I just plain can't do with the firebirds. I throw it well backhand too but there are still things that I like to have both of the discs for. The whippet just isn't fast enough some times and does not skip like the firebird does.

Putters:
2 wizards, one for putts one for approach
vibram VP for drives and headwinds

midrange:
z comet
z first run buzz

drivers:
stalker
p pd
s pd
c pd
11x firebird
seasoned pro destroyer (huge turnovers)
nuke (not used often but damn does it bomb!)
if anyone has any feedback on discs that might fit better, or shots I may not have covered let me know!

My 2010 line up:

[2] Ions
[3] Buzzzes
[5] PDs
[2] Destroyers

Ions:
Putts and Approaches, usually 200' and in. I'll drive with them on holes under 250' but don't feel comfortable with an approach from that far.

Buzzzes:
Two 177g Glo Z Buzzzes that I throw for shots 300' or less. I just grab one at random so they stay about the same stability.
One 177g opaque Elite Z that is 2.5 years old. I use this one for shots that I need to turn over and approaches just outside of Ion range.

PDs:
One 166g P-PD that I throw for max distance with a tailwind or calm conditions. Once it is beat I'll replace it with something heavier and use it for rollers.
Two 172g S-PDs that I use as my primary driver for holes 300 to 400 feet for backhand and 250 to 350 feet forehand.
Two 175g C-PDs for headwind and left to right wind drives over 280 to 350 feet. Forehand hyzers, hooks, and skips for 250 to 350 feet.

Destroyers:
One 169g Pro for forehand tailwind max distance drives. I'm working on developing comfort with it for low line 350 to 400 foot backhands.
One 172g Pro for forehand drives over 350 feet.

I'm currently planning on adding a 172g P-PD to replace my 166g P-PD once it is thrashed and a 172g Star Destroyer to be my primary forehand distance driver.

I think I last posted my bag in 2008...been out of the game for a while due to an unrelated injury :?
It's not in a bag...cause that died, but this is what I'm throwing.

1 champ eagle-x
1 dx roc - beat
1 dx aviar

I'll probably work in some other discs as I get back into form.

-Jeremy

Distance:
QOLS - 169g, 175g both newish
MOLS - 172g trashed for flips, long easy turnovers
SOLF - 1.1's 172g beat, 173g new
Xcal - 173g 7/10

Fairway:
QJLS - 171g straight
JLS - 169g hyzer flips out to 350-375ft
Q Polaris LS - 173g straight with a reliable left finish
XXX - for the utility slot

Midrange:
Roc - 1 fresh 11x, 1 straight 11x, 1 beat/soft 12x, 1 stable mid range
Mako - Champion. so far lots of glide and more stability than star mako. nice glidey s-lines

Putter:
Wizards 3 - 1 driver, 1 main putter, 1 for that second putt that always goes in
