Pros:

Local club - Houston Flying Disc Society has put some effort into updating this course. It not only has 3 new (optional) holes to make it 21, but they have installed new DD Veteran baskets. Other improvements include adding mulch and gravel to low lying areas and the locals keep up with the maintenance pretty well. The 'mowing' season comes to a close during August for a spell, but otherwise the park is well maintained. The flow is really good so tee signs really aren't necessary and there are frequent organized events here.

Trash cans are numerous, park is mostly clean except around the BB courts..those guys can put balls in baskets but not trash in numerous convenient trash cans. Doesn't affect course play.

Enough trees to offer the occasional obstacle and shade on a sunny day.

Cons:

Not a tremendous amount of variety but the layout does lend itself to a lot of 'shot shaping' opportunities. The young trees are growing up and beginning to change the lines to the baskets.

Other Thoughts:

I play in a league at this park and it's a fun and challenging. It was a good park before the updates, now it's even better! Convenient to get to right off the Beltway just north of I-10

Agnes is Houston's Town Bicycle 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 14, 2010 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Nice mix of L-R and R-L holes. Decent distance on backside, less so on frontside but that make for a bunch of ace runs. Good vibes out there, always a good time at the MOFF.

Cons:

Loud near holes 14,15,16,17 - makes it hard to hear my tunes. Built a new school behind holes 1, 2 ,3, 4 so it doesnt feel as wooded as before. Can get very busy!!!

Other Thoughts:

Moffit gets a lot of heat. But there is no course in Houston that gets more play, and can appeal to such a wide variety of amateur players (which is 99% of us) Moffit will always have its place in the Houston DG community -

Fun Times 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 5, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Fun course, big, open spaces. Lots of trees that make for challenging shots, especially around the baskets.

Cons:

Lots of foot traffic, there seems to always be quite a few people out there (although I do go when the weather is nice and usually a Sunday or Saturday) but still...

Other Thoughts:

Definitely worth a play!

A Solid 18 Holes 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 7, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

18 holes with some good challenges. Nice tee posts and a decent course flow. Not too hard, so you feel like an accomplished player after a round at Agnes Moffitt : )

Cons:

Be careful after recent rain. The course can easily hold lots of water, even after several days. Depending on the last upkeep, the tee boxes can be awful- more like uneven trenches. This can easily throw off your drive.

Other Thoughts:

Like many other Houston area courses, bring your mosquito spray!
