-Offers a good variety of shots considering the size of the park. You'll throw up, down and have the occasional dogleg.
-With the exception of hole 1, every hole can punish you for a bad throw or reward you for a good one. There are plenty of ways for your disc to get caught, but also clear routes to the basket for birdie.
-WITH A MAP, this is easy to navigate. Map is a must though
-For being part of a college campus and next to main roads, there is virtually no way to throw into the street. All the throws go IN towards the park and not out towards the road/sidewalk.
-Good for forearmers and backhanders. Both shots will help you here.
-There is free parking inside the park, Not sure if the University Police would bother you if you parked on the street near campus.
-This is a super quick play for travelers (if you have a map!) I started a timer when I got off the interstate ramp. I got to the course, jogged through playing all 9, and was back on the interstate in 28 minutes!

-The biggest issue is navigation. You NEED to download the map.
-The free parking puts you between holes. Hole 5 is north of you, 4 is east and 7 is south. Honestly it's easier to start on hole 5 and then finish on 4.
-No teepads is always a bummer, but there are marked throwing locations.
-No signs means you need a map to ensure you know where you're throwing. Although, there is not much overlap,
-Did I mention you NEED a map?!

Directions: (Again, my tip would be to start on 5 at the parking in the middle of the park)
Hole 1: Near MLK Dr. and Brookline. Throws in towards a park slightly down hill
Hole 2: From hole 1 pin look east and up towards a cluster of trees. From pad throw is long and dogleg left into a tunnel.
Hole 3: from hole 2 pin keep going west and then north around bushes. Throw straight ahead to basket in brush on right
Hole 4: Head north from pin 3 than east. You'll walk the opposite way down the fairway to the tee, then you'll throw west to the basket.
Hole 5: From basket head west to parking lot. On northwest side is the tee that throws north and down to basket.
Hole 6: From basket head down hill and west. Tee pad is near road/sidewalk and throws back uphill towards park.
Hole 7:From basket head south and straight. You'll pass through parking lot and playground before you find tee. Straight throw that's easy to see.
Hole 8: From 7 go straight to south west side of the pavilion. Throw is south and dogleg left into flower patch.
Hole: 9 Keep heading south and the throw is south east back towards hole 1's tee pad.

New plan for a full 18 in the works with a redesign to bring about the parks full potential. This may not begin till 20??.
3 missing baskets where replaced this spring, along with new tee sign posts(new signs are in the works) and they let us put a 4x6 board down for the front of the tee area.

Parks won`t allow more permanent Tee areas, so we will have to deal with natural tees. Parking at hole 1 is for students only during week days and can be a problem for some if ticketed. We plan on changing the numbers so that in the future hole 5 will be the new hole 1 for parking issues.

Update for all. Cincinnati Parks has been working on a new Master Plan for Burnet Woods. We were able to get a full 18 hole design in their proposal and are awaiting further information from the Parks department. We are working very hard to get this course renovated and up to par along with Mt.Airy. Please be patient and look for volunteer work days at these parks on the GCFDA website. www.cincinnatidiscgolf.com

This a great course for people learning the game or recreational players. Not to mention that it is great for students and others who find themselves downtown.

The course is not long, but makes good use of the terrain - with a good bit of elevation change and many of the holes playing along the edge of the woods. There are some fun shots at this course with lots of birdie/ace-run opportunities.

Dirt teepads, not super challenging. Course could get confusing in a couple spots for people playing it for the first time.

Advanced players could play this course with a midrange or putter. It was fun to play and is enjoyable for a casual round with friends. More serious players will want to check out some of the more challening courses in the area (Mt Airy etc.)

Good practice course. Challenging holes.
Chainstar baskets and dirt tees (except on hole 1). Close to town. They have removed most of the trees around the baskets.

Old, bent, beat up baskets. Most teesigns missing. Basket 9 missing (sometimes a basket will be there, but rarely) by this I mean and portable basket that people on the course bring. Traffic will not stop for a disc in the road. Also I got an update saying that #4 basket was stolen. If you have your own basket take it.

Some challenging holes and a very fun course. Cincinnati State has a course right down the street. Go play it to make 18 holes.
