Pros:

It is the kind of property you'd walk through and think "There should be a disc golf course here." Wooded with some elevation changes and a pond.

There are a couple good holes here. Hole 9 is a fun empty-the-bag downhill ace run that does have a gap you need to hit.

Baskets are yellow Disccatchers. There are next-tee signs after every hole pointing you to the white and red tees.

The holes are fairly short from the reds (mostly under 200') but not necessarily ace runs.

Cons:

There are tee signs, but it's not always easy to tell where the tee even is. They are natural and not defined. Navigation was surprisingly hard in a few parts. After the third hole, it took me a while to find the white tee and I never found the red. Bizarrely, you walk down the hill to tee off to throw back up the hill. Odd choice.

Design is so so. Hole 2 felt like it was designed by someone who doesn't play much. Basically a spray-and-pray hole with no defined fairway.

Pretty buggy.

Other Thoughts:

Park right off of the road and walk up the hill, taking the first right and walking down toward the pond. The first hole is just past the pond.

All in all, this just wasn't that fun of a course. I'll give credit for the next-tee signs and the quality baskets, but the design needs some improvement.

So much potential... 2+ years

Pros:

This could have been a little gem for Western Massachusetts. Alas, no one maintains this and it's slowly going back to the forest.

Cons:

Just 9 holes
Little to no ongoing maintenance.
Mosquitoes
From the front tees the course is a "chip and putt" layout for stronger players.
Poor maintenance. Erosion, natural tees worn out.

Other Thoughts:

Camp Shepard is full of day campers all summer. The Camp will use the course for kids activities, so I understand the restricted week-day hours.
