Cramped Quarters - Just Too Small 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 7, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

- This is a nice place to introduce people to the sport.
- If you have kids and want to do a little chuckin' this is a good place to go: kids get the playground for thirty, then dad gets a round in.
- Works your short game and you get to throw "low ceiling" shots a lot.
- The course is still nice and new:
All the signs were in good shape
The pads are nice
Baskets are super nice
- Ample bathrooms, benches and waste baskets

Cons:

- There's just too much going on here.
The park is too small for DG, it just is.
Why not pull these baskets and design a nice 9 hole in Thomas Mitchell Park just down the road (note: I've not been to TM Park but it can't be smaller than City Park, not possible.)?
- You will find the next tee pad dangerously close to the basket you just cleared many, many times. Again, its just cramped.
- Some of the tee pads point in strange directions in an effort to get you to play a safe line around park features, like you're going around a mando.

Other Thoughts:

If you're searching for a more enjoyable, typical or fulfilling disc golf experience, drive the few extra miles to Colfax and play there instead.
If you've got less than an hour to spend on golf, or have the fam with you, this might be just what the doctor ordered.
