Play it twice! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 14, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

I really enjoyed this course. Although some may complian I felt that the various sidewalks, roadways and parking lots only added to the character of this course. It is also very green and there is'nt alot of overgrown berries and other bushes for disc's to be lost in. I thought it was a well thought out course. There also was not alot of wind thanks to the beautiful green trees all over this course. They even provide course maps which I thought was really cool for free.....No donation necissary!

Cons:

It took a few minutes and some asking around to find the course/first tee but the on duty campus security was more then helpful in showing us where the course's first tee was. Can't drink beer or smoke but who needs to with the scenery.

Other Thoughts:

This course is a 10 minute drive away from another 18 hole course at Cascade Gateway Park. Only 9 holes but plan on playing them more then once. Thank you Corban College!

It's Grown On Me 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 5, 2008 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

It's a short course that's good for beginners and encourages accuracy over power. Most of the holes are in the 200' - 250' range so it doesn't take a strong arm. However, there are many blind shots, trees, blackberry bushes, and elevation changes to keep the long throwers in check.

Cons:

Blackberry bushes and other sharp, pointy foliage: I've lost a few discs to blind throws into blackberry bushes.

Other Thoughts:

My favorite hole is #7. It is very easy to eagle. However, it's has a long downhill side that will allow you to overthrow the hole by close to 100' or more if you bounce off the wrong tree or branch. Oh, and discs roll a very long way in the wrong direction as well.
