Pros:
--Alternate Tees that play very differently due to length and position.
-- Mix of longer and short holes
-- Opportunity to use backhand and forehand for both lefties and rights
--Real rough, many course don't have true rough but you can get in some gnarly stuff on this course.
--Mix of wooded and open holes, tightly wooded and lightly wooded.
-- Open holes are not wide open, challenging guardian trees increase difficulty.
-- Good course to practice on if you need to practice in the wind, the final four holes can get pretty windy.
--- restrooms, picnic areas, parking
Cons:
---Not much change in elevation.
---Hole three is almost a clown hole, mostly due to brush needing to be cleared. Might be my skill level but there doesn't seem to be true line on this hole.
--- Tee signs seem like they are put in backwards making it hard to orient yourself if you don't know the course.
Other Thoughts:
Overall, a great course for the small space to work with, very challenging for a small 9 hole course. I think that there are really two signature holes on this course. Hole #1 downhill toward the water and left dogleg into the woods. Hole #4, low ceiling dogleg to the right into the woods. Probably the two most enjoyable holes on the course to me. I also really love the fact that when you pull up you see the holes in the open and start thinking birdies but the pin placement and guardian trees make it much more difficult than you'd think.
