This course is situated in a small park with very little interaction with the other park go-ers. There are nine holes with good baskets including hole 9 being a brand new Mach X basket.

The course plays longer than a pitch and putt style course. It has several holes that are over 400' in length that would make a 2 a very impressive score.

There are only a few trees on the course, but I felt that the holes on the course were strategically placed to where the trees come into play either off the tee or at the basket. Hole 8 is a fun hole with a double mando right off the tee.

From what I understand, the concrete pads are new and they are a decent size for this style of course.

On the same point as the usage of the foliage, Cowden Park has more elevation than Windlands Park, and it uses it to its advantage in what ways it can.

I imagine this park floods after a rain, as the park is built on a retention pond for the neighborhood. There are no bathrooms, and very little parking for any of the park users.

Even though the trees are used strategically, the course still lacks in any kind of variety. Although some holes may be hard to two, they are also very hard to four, which makes for a boring course.

The course is safer than Windlands Park because of the lack of interaction with other patrons, but what it lacks in every other department in pure fun value.

This is one of only two courses in Midland, this being the only nine course. Midland gold really lacks a solid course. Cowden Park can be played fairly quickly and is a good introduction to new players. If you are in the area, you can play both courses in two hours. Still, it is a very meh course.

Wide open, great practice course. A good course to bring kids to if not too busy. Met a local and played it backwards to make 18 which was cool.

In the very middle of Cowden park. Marked poorly and have to backtrack from 5 to 6.

Needs a bathroom.

On a good day this course would be very nice. Few trees and no water hazards to eat your disk.
There are a few cross park baskets where you can really let a good throw go. This course is good for a quick game.

When it rains the inner part of the course fills with just enough water to be annoying. When it has rained and you try those cross park shots and don't quite make it cross park,you will inevitably land in sneaky water. Sneaky water is harmless for the most part, it just sits right below the grass line so you can't see it. So when you go to retrieve your disk you will encounter two things 1: " hahaha water" 2: " AWWWW CRAP water" the farther in you go, the worse it gets, filling your shoes with water, worse off it all sits right below the grass line, invisible. Also, No launching pads, We just playes from basket to basket. WATCH OUT FOR SNEAKY WATER.

Nice wide open shots, few trees and a quiet location in the center of Midland. If you would like to work on distance or just a relaxing game this is a wonderful course. There are few trees so seeing the pin is a breeze. The baskets are in good condition with natural tees. The whole park is well manicured and clean, just watch out for sand spurs.

Course is very simple with some back tracking. Some re-arranging could make the course a bit more interesting. If you're looking for technical shots, you might want to make up your own course; you might need to anyway unless you have a guide as the holes aren't very well marked in the first place. As stated before, the tees are natural and aren't defined very well. Some of the tees are on a down-hill slope and have some ruts and dips.

First impression is overall quite nice for a small course. If you're in the area for some reason stop on by and enjoy working on your drives. The park itself is nice and quiet but with minimal parking (2 spaces are all I found). The course is overall a par 3 with maybe one or two that could be a par 4. A tip on the layout: the first tee is by the small parking lot on the right and flows around the park in a clock-wise fashion.
