At least this course wasn't a pitch and putt like some 9 holers. They tried to use the little elevation on most of the holes by putting the baskets on the hills and you tee off on the hill for the next hole.

There is little to no parking. They apparently just added tee pads, but one of my pet peeves is when the tee pads are on a hill so if you fall off the tee pad when you throw it is scary that you may twist an ankle. The course was pretty boring There was no sort of challenge. Hole 4 was absolutely terrible The backstop was right in the middle of the fairway. Also hole 5 has a chain linked fence right off the tee box.

I'm surprised this city only has one 9 hole course. On my way into the city I drove by several signs that pointing to other parks This course was boring and honestly wasn't that fun.

Convenient location in town.
Nice short course for a lunch break round.
Layout is very conducive for "Safari" holes.

Park is a flood control basin; 1/2 in. of rain and at least 2 of the baskets are in a foot of water. 3 in. of rain and they can be covered. After rain it can be three or more weeks until basket 2 & 7 are dry enough to walk around.
The "Safari-ability" of this does make it playable a short time after a rain using all the perrimeter baskets.

I can't complain too much; It's across the street from my house!!
