Pros:

This is the best course in this area in my opinion. It has 3 tee boxes and at least 2 different pin positions on every hole, so any given day you could come out here and play 54 unique golf holes, then come out a week later and play a totally different 54. They recently updated to brand new baskets which catch great, and they recently put in concrete tee pads, so the infrastructure is great. I don't think any other course in town comes close to the difficulty of this course. There are a lot of tunnel shots. I mean a lot. There are several 300+ foot holes that are through the trees with a 10 foot ceiling the whole way. Some make you work right to left, some make you work left to right, but all the tunnel shots are tough. They did break the mold on 4 or 5 holes where you have a little more open tee shot and you can go for some distance, but mostly this course is about very tight technical lines. I have been playing for a long time, and there is no other course in town that punishes bad shots (and sometimes good shots) so much. They have cleaned up a ton of trees and underbrush in the last several years, and while the course might be very tough, there are clean lines that can be hit on every hole if you have the skill. It is a lot of fun if you are looking for a real challenge.

Cons:

It can be a bit demoralizing if you cant keep you disc low and hit your lines. I wouldn't recommend taking out beginner or lower skill level players to play this course. They won't have much fun unless they are very patient. Without a map it is a bit confusing to get around, and the trees are so thick its hard to look around and see the next hole. It holds moisture for a while, and floods when things get really wet because of the creek that runs through it. The signs are pretty cheesy and home made, and I don't think all the distances are current to the way the course is laid out now. Sometimes mowing is infrequent, and it can get pretty hairy when they haven't mowed in a while.

Other Thoughts:

For a high level player I don't think there is a better course in the Wichita area. I like Oak Park if you are just looking for a fun relaxing round with good scenery (even though Oak can show its teeth with the right basket placement and tee pads), but this course will separate the men from the boys, or women from the girls. It's a players course. I am an advanced player, and I have never been able to shoot under par here. +1 is my best score after playing out here more than a dozen times, and have shot as bad as +10. The thing I like about the course is that it is tough, but fair. You can shoot well out here, but it will take every part of your game being on point.

Pros:

Legit ass course with a private sort of feel. Rarely see many other golfers out, yet the course is usually maintained very well. Red/blue or long/short options allow for 36 hole layout. It has tee signs at each tee pad with distances listed on them.

Cons:

alcohol is not allowed at the park (allegedly). It can be a bit confusing the first time through. I also got a mosquito bite last time I went out.

Other Thoughts:

Aside from Oak Park, this is the 2nd best course in the greater Wichita area. Well worth trip, 4.5/5 would play again.
