Nice use of the land available in a well maintained city park. Hole 1 gives an awesome 130ft Ace opportunity/ almost guaranteed birdie to boost your confidence before the complete change up on number 2's 400+ ft pin location!

Good tees and baskets all throughout. Great use of what terrain is available in the park.

Vandals have stolen all the tee signs. So it was a little confusing trying to find 3.

There is a great jungle gym, and wooden castle play area that will undoubtedly attract a lot of small children. One of the baskets, I believe it was 5, sits near the bathroom and I found myself a little worried about hitting kids as they kept running in and out of my field if view around the basket.

There is not a ton of challenge here. I finished -3 first time here. Although, there are plenty of courses nearby to make this a destination location.

Since Paschall Park is about 4 minutes away, you might as well play this course when you head into town to throw out at Paschall. I enjoyed it, as an additional destination on my Paschall trip.

There are another 3 courses within 15 minutes as well. So you shouldn't have any trouble getting your DG fill.

Well maintained park/course. Offers decent variety of hole distance with hardly any trees. Seems to play more favorable for right-handed backhanders.

The course mostly meanders along a giant canyon of a creek in the middle of the park which was busy with players retreiving their discs both times I played. Not real challenging in terms of hole creativity as it lacks the occasional enjoyed obstacle that trees sometimes create.

Located within a few miles of 3 or 4 other nice courses, so if you want to make a day of playing DG at different places... definitely include this one!

This course is really well maintained and has a winding, treeless creek that runs through the course. There is almost no chance that you will ever be in the trees on this course (slight chance on hole #2). Great tee pads and disc catchers.

Hole number 1 is very short.

The locals I met said that to make hole #1 more challenging and fun that they park by the Quizno's up on the other side of the creek and throw at the hole from behind the shopping center- there is a big utility box and about 25' of concrete and it does make this hole way more fun, just watch out if you are a righty and you throw a hyzer from way up there. Hole number 9 ends right there as well so when you're finished you can just go to your car without having to deal with the bridge again.

This is a fairly fun course set in a family environment.For a nine hole there is a good variety of hole length ranging from 132ft to 405ft with a little elevation on s couple holes.Holes 2.3.4.7.8&9 all boarder the creek in some way,which could also be a con for beginners.

There are restrooms and water fountains located near hole #1 and #5.Also trash cans throughout the park.

HOLES #8&#9 ARE THE SAME HOLE BACK TO BACK.
To get form 7 to 8 and 9 to 1 you must walk next to busy streets to cross the creek.

There is no shot variety at all, every hole is a strait shot down an open fairway.

There are two playgrounds on either side of the park, and walking trails throughout the park making this a great place to bring the family.

A nice neighborhood 9-hole course with quality concrete tees, Discatcher Pro baskets, and high visibility descriptive tee signs. This is an excellent model of how an introductory course should be equipped. The tee signs give directions to the next tee when necessary. There are restroom facilities and a water fountain by hole #1. Speaking of which... hole #1 sets a deceptive tone by starting you with an easy 132' birdie hole. Then it unleashes hole #2: a 405' hole with the creek looming on the right, and hole #3 a 362' downhill bomb with the creek on the left this time. Those are the best two holes on the course. The navigation is easy especially if you read the tip on the #2 tee sign for how to get to #3. There's some decent elevation changes in this little course too.

The placard on the #3 tee sign is missing. There's a walking/jogging trail weaving through the park so you need to be aware of pedestrians and other park patrons possibly playing in fairways. The course finishes with a couple lackluster holes that are almost identical shots with the baskets parked on the side of a slight hill.

There are water hazards but most are pretty easy to avoid with a conservative throw (#3 is the most risky for RHBH). There are some reviews mentioning the desire for foot bridges. There are already two street bridges that are only a minor bit out of the way to get from one hole to the next, or back to the parking lot. Adding foot bridges would be very costly and aren't really necessary. This is a good starter course and even up to a low intermediate course but advanced and pros are gonna be bored.

Scenic, well-maintained park with great concrete tees and good signage. The grass is lush in all but a few spots (mainly holes 3 and 4), and there are some minor elevation changes to keep it interesting.

Since there are only 9 holes, I'll give a brief run-down of each:
1) Just barely over 100' through trees with some low hanging branches. The basket sits less than 30' from the road, so you have to be careful if you're running for the ace. Trees force a slight anhyzer shot.
2) Almost 400' wide open with OB creek on the right and OB sidewalk on the left. Wind is a factor on this hole, and high shots that fade early will probably be OB. A few minor elevation changes near the pin can make putting more interesting.
3) Best on the course...around 375' downhill with large OB creek on left and behind, and large group of small/medium treed short of the pin to the right. Good example of "risk vs reward".
4) Another <150' shot...OB sidewalk comes into play near the pin on the right, and there are 2 small trees you have to navigate around. Drop in elevation behind the basket makes long come-backs more interesting.
5) Over a small hill, maybe 275' to the pin. The basket sits in a small depression, which may save your skip shot from going OB.
6) Another fun ace run...downhill, couldn't be longer than 150', through some trees with a line of trees along the right. Steep elevation change makes it a pretty fun shot.
7) About 350', nothing in the way except the wind...OB sidewalk on the left.
8) About 250', wide open with the basket sitting on the side of a large hill (maybe 35-degree incline, sloping down to the right side).
9) Just like hole 8...seriously.

All in all, it's a fun course to breeze through for Adv / Pro players, and a great introduction to the sport for beginners. Not to easy that you feel you conquered it the first time around, but not so hard that it'll drive anyone away.

Restrooms and water fountains near hole 1...

Holes 7-9 are a little boring, but at least they're all shooting in different directions, so that you get to play in the wind from all angles. Pro/Adv players might find the course too easy, but I thought it was fun and a nice break from challenging courses I usually try to play in Dallas.

The City of Mesquite installed 3 new courses in 2008, and I think they made a smart choice in making 2 of those beginner / entry-level courses. Of those 2, DeBusk is probably the most fun/challenging and scenic. It's centrall located, with a movie theater and lots of restaurants within upshot distance
