Good addition to a road trip 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 4, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

While Endicott Park is not a course you would make a roadtrip around, it is a great inclusion for those who have just gotten done playing slightly more epic courses like Jefferson Barracks. Here's what I liked:

Elevation: This course's specialty... elevation was the key factor of every hole. i like this because even if a course lacks trees (which this one doesn't) uphill shots are still challenging and downhill bombs are still fun!

Treeeeees: Lots of trees with little underbrush. makes for fun challenges, without the risk of lost discs

Difficulty... Not overly challenging. Definitely some deuce opportunities, but there are also a few holes (7,12) that are very very difficult! Makes for fun round

Cons:

Signage!!! This was the only thing holding my review of Jefferson Barracks back, and the signage here is just as bad, and is even more needed since there are some baskets that look like they are on the fairway of other holes!! Lame! As at jefferson Barracks, the flow here was bad :(

Personally, I like feeling a bit isolated from other things like baseball games, roads, houses, etc when I disc golf, and unfortunately that factor just isn't present here... feels like youre playing in a busy park.

Other Thoughts:

Fun course! Definitely a good warmup/cooldown from other more challenging courses.

Very Diverse, Exciting Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 15, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-This may be the most diverse course in St. Louis. There are short, wooded holes as well as a few long, wide open distance holes. They weave together perfectly and make for one of the more unique courses in the STL area.
-Like the other courses in St. Louis, there are multiple pin positions for each hole and they are changed quite frequently. The distances are marked at the tee pad and you can see most of the holes from the tee pad or a few steps off.
-The flow and layout of the holes is very nice. It is very smooth and you will have very little trouble other than finding the first hole, which is by the big patio type thing right by the playground.
-All the baskets are Gateway Titans, and there is a practice Titan by the playground with putting markers that spiral out from 10 feet to 50 feet, one of the most unique features of this course.
- Can be very difficult. You can go from being under par to ruining your round in just a few holes, so think about all your throws before you throw.

Cons:

-While a lot of people think this is one of, if not the best course in the area, I still think JB is far and away better. Even though there are some long holes here, the average length of a hole is probably somewhere around 300 feet.
-The course can get backlogged sometimes during the summer and can result in some very slow play.
-The tee pads of some holes are directly behind the pins of some holes. This can result in people having to putt with a person driving in their background. This may not be a problem for some people, but I like to have nothing behind the basket to focus on the chains themselves.

Other Thoughts:

While this is a great course, I still believe JB or Sioux are the 2 best courses in St. Louis. However, this course is a lot closer to the city than Sioux is and it is still a great course that is different than both the other 2. Absolutely check this out if you find yourself in the STL area.

Signs NEEDED 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Sep 1, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

This was a really interesting course. Loved the design and variety of shots. A lot of wooded areas, with some more open areas. Elevation change on a few of the holes.

Cons:

No signage whatsoever. We spent more time wandering for the next hole that we did throwing.

Other Thoughts:

Without signage, this course was almost unplayable. Hopefully someone steps up and gets signage done.

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 10, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Very well-maintained, thoughtful layout combining tight short shots with long bomb drives. Variety of pins can make for a different challenge every time you play. Not overly long but not overly easy.

Cons:

If pins are in C or D locations, can be awfully difficult for a beginner.

Other Thoughts:

Only one of a few courses inside of the I-270 loop in St. Louis County, which makes for easy access. Has hosted St. Louis Open tournaments. Despite being one of the oldest courses in Missouri (play took place here long before baskets were installed in 1996), it is still one of the best.

Endicott hits the spot. (sorry) 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:May 30, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

I'll start by saying that this was the first disc golf course that I ever played (not counting the few I played in the late 80's early 90's) and I hated it the first time. I understand why I wasn't excited that time and I like it much better now.
The course was just the right length for 18 holes that don't leave you exhausted and had lots of creative use of the terrain to create shot variety. As with most St. Louis area courses, Endicott has most holes surrounded by brushy/wooded areas, but it does NOT suffer from the thick, unforgiving honeysuckle and kudzu vines that make finding a lost disc impossible on many other courses. It's also nice that the pin positions on this course change frequently and they're all good spots.
The grass was well maintained (for a city/county park) and the concrete tees kept the mud down to a very respectable minimum for this area. The 5 or so holes that are actually "in the woods" were very nicely manicured to allow clean shots with reasonable margin for error and, again, finding errant shots was no real issue. You'll get a very specific opportunity to use just about every technique and disc you have (with the exception of really monstrous throws).
As a final Pro for this course - it was nice and shady. A very welcome addition for the summer weather and there's a QT about a block away for refreshments.

Cons:

Some of the things that turned me off so badly the first time I played Endicott are still present... but not as much of an issue. The majority of the holes on the course take you through a series of low valleys that obviously get very wet and nasty at times. It was fine this time, but in early March, this place was all mud and really unsightly. There are no trash receptacles at the actual tees. This leads to every tee's bag hook being used as a place to hang bags of empty beer cans and those seem to start overflowing onto the ground frequently. The crowd here was mostly "cool" and mature, but there are a often a few jerks and drunks to make it awkward. There is also little to no way to know where to go for the next tee on any of the holes and a few of them weren't marked... make sure you download the map or you will wander aimlessly. Similarly, the baskets are just a dull metal and very hard to see until you're almost on top of them.

Other Thoughts:

While I love having a lot of big, open holes to try to pound out big drives - and Endicott doesn't really have any really long holes (with 445 being the maximum and 290 being the average), I didn't really miss it because one good, well aimed power-drive can get you to putting range on the longer holes here.
With some improvements in drainage and vigilance on the littering, this park could easily be a real gem.

Nice variety 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 29, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

The course plays through a mostly disc golf exclusive area of a large multi-use park. The front 9 has some really nice hills to play up and down, with some tough uphill shots and some fun shots back down. Most of the holes play through grassy park areas with lots of nice mature trees. These holes often have some brushy rough in play off the fairway but plenty of different lines to hit through the trees if you're accurate. A few holes play in the wooded area with tighter lanes through the brush and trees for a little variety.

There is a good mix of hole shapes here that will force you to have a balanced game to score well. A nice balance of left and riight turning holes with some straight shots and one s-shaped fairway through the woods makes for a pretty fair set of holes for righties or lefties. There are a few ace runs and a few longer holes mixed in to keep things interesting.

There are multiple pin placements that seemed like they would really change up the holes. Locals told us that they move reasonably often, so that would keep the course fresh, and offer some really nice tournament layouts with more of the toughest placements in use. The concrete tees were in good shape, as were the baskets.

Cons:

The course gets a little repetitive, especially on the back 9. The end of the course has much less elevation and just starts to feel a little too similar to holes you've already played. There's not a ton of real challenge for better players here unless most of the pins are in the tougher settings, and it seemed like they're usually in more of a mix. The signs had bolts to say which pin placement was in use, but many were incorrect, and with no hole layout they don't keep you from having to walk up the hole anyway unless you know the course pretty well already. There were some pretty muddy spots in the lower sections of the course.

Other Thoughts:

This is a nice course, and definitely worth a stop in the St. Louis area. There are some fun holes and good use of elevation, and some wooded holes to balance out the park-style holes. Beginners will find it challenging but approachable, only the few wooded holes are really punishing for errant shots. More experienced players won't find it too challenging, but there are enough fun holes and some tight lines to keep it interesting.

Lots of Trees 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Sep 18, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Endicott has some very solid baskets (they are Titans after all), good tees, and well cut grass. This is a tough course; I rank it as a Pro because when I play I want to be challenged and this is one course that will do it. Most of the trees there are mature, so the shots will hardly change in the coming years. This course is also easy to get to; it is no more than a mile off of the interstate. Hitting a tree was definitely a penalty here (something you don't always see at a course). This must be a St. Louis theme but there were usually three pin placements on the holes, and the tee sign would tell you which one it was currently at. This course had a decent amount of elevation changes. It also required that you have a good hyzer, anhyzer, forehand and possibly hyzer-flip in your arsenal to produce a solid score. The holes were fairly average in distance; a few of the holes when they were in the "C" pin placement were long though.

Cons:

To me this course fell short in a few areas. In a lot of situations I found some shots required luck vs. skill to get close to the pin. Hole 7 was planted all the way atop a hill near 12's tee; seeing as it was already a long shot you ran the risk of throwing onto someone on 12 if you made a poor shot. That whole shot until the last 100ft was riddled with pointless trees on the outer edges of the fairway. Some of them could be cleaned up but in no way should all of them be removed as they are still young and it would hurt the condition of the course. In some cases I got lost looking for the next tee, some better signage could fix that (this goes for most STL area courses). The elevation changes on the front 9 were great; up and down as well as some side hill angles. When I got to the back 9 though I was really let down, the hill played neutral on almost all the holes as you shot across it on almost every shot. The course took its biggest hit on the rating from me because of the poor use of the hill on the back, like I said it really took the wind out of my sail. There is also a hole where you throw very close to a ball field, during the summer it may be unplayable or you might even throw into some people that are using the field.

Other Thoughts:

This is not a course for someone to really enjoy on a one-time play; you need to play it once and then digest it, come back a second time then I think you can appreciate its design. I felt that a lot of the shots required someone to have played there a few times to get some muscle memory. If I lived in St. Louis and played this course more I am sure I would enjoy it more than I did my first time I played it. For people that are just stopping through it might be a frustrating course, but stick with it; the course is a different challenge that you don't see a lot of places. Holes 4-6 were my favorite of the course because they incorporated some things I really enjoy at courses uphill/downhill shots and hyzer/anhyzer shots. Despite being a tough and challenging course I didn't leave feeling like I had to play it again.

Intermediate/Expert 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 5, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Course is set in a hilly park with lots of mature trees. Good use of the available space to maximize hole length and variety.
- Almost every hole has a large number of high canopy trees to avoid off the tee and through the fairways, which adds significant challenge and demands good accuracy. There are also many spots with extremely dense rough that must be avoided at all costs. This provides a large number of pretty well protected baskets, so nearly every shot has some tree or forested area to contend with.
- Elevation changes are a factor on many holes, both through the fairway and near the baskets. Many long, sloping fairways add to the challenge and the overall fun factor. There are some longer uphill and downhill bomber holes to let it rip, a pretty good mix overall. The sloped greens add even more challenge to already protected baskets.
- Other hazards include a very small creek on a few holes, not really a major factor but still something to watch out for.
- The alternate pin positions add pretty significant length and challenge on many holes. I can see why this park is qualified to host top-tier events, with downright nasty pin placements (in a good way, of course).
- Good tees and baskets.

Cons:

- The terrain is pretty consistent throughout the entire park, so you better get used to lots of trees and thick rough. From the start to the finish, not much changes in terms of the scenery.
- There are holes that have an obvious lane to the basket, but most of the time it is just a matter of avoiding trees and the rough. Line shaping is definitely key, but there are usually many different lines that can be taken. So, there aren't too many holes that require a specific type of shot.
- Tee signs are very basic - a list of the different positions and distances, with a bolt to signify the current placement. Bolts were sometimes in the wrong hole, or missing altogether, which could be frustrating the first time through. Course can be tricky to navigate the first time, make sure to get a scorecard or study the map.

Other Thoughts:

- A very solid course that uses the hilly terrain to its full potential. Lots of trees and other hazards to avoid along the way, with some protected baskets and fast greens. Personally, I really liked the layout and was very pleased with the variety of holes. Even though the land and obstacles are pretty uniform throughout the park, each hole had its own challenge and feel. I felt it definitely rewarded accuracy over length, though a combination of both can lead to some pretty low scores.
- A good course for all skill levels, especially with the different pin positions.

Best par 3 in St. LOuis 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 21, 2010 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

This is a really fun course. Snake through the trees, or try to find an alternate approach. Elevation change and lots of trees make all holes a challenge. Most holes offer a chance for birdie, but all holes can easily be a bogey. Even if you don't have a big arm you can still post it up on #5's 350' downhill bomb. If you do have a big arm try to post it up on #14's open 425'. #3 is probably my favorite. It is a 300' downhill shot with lots of trees. You can find a line backhand or forehand. Watch out for #7 and #12, par will feel like a bird. You will use all of your shots and all of your disks on this course.

This is one of the courses that is home to The St. Louis Open. There are 4' x 10' concrete tee pads, with 3 different pin placements. Amenities include; benches at every hole, a practice basket, toilets and drinking fountain at the 1st tee / 10th tee, and bbq grills at the pavilion.

Cons:

There are only 2 problems. It is muddy in the spring. However, The St. Louis Disc Golf Club has done work to redirect the runoff water. It is also hard to navigate for the first time player. Get a score card from the kiosk at the 1st tee.

Other Thoughts:

They have a league on Monday night. I don't know if they close the course or not.

Tight, technical with elevation and length 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 26, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course has a little bit of everything - shorter technical holes, long uphill holes, and everything in between. As stated in other reviews, hole 12 is an excellent, tight and difficult hole, but I don't think it's the hardest hole on the course. There are just so many good holes here - it's hard to pick a favorite. And you'll probably find the course different every time you play it because there are 3 pin placements for every hole. The park is also easy to find and pretty clean for a neighborhood park.

Cons:

Some of the holes on the front 9 can get a little soggy aftr a rain, but the club is currently installing drainage tiles to fix that. It's an older park, so the grass is kinda beaten down, which can make for muddy conditions at times.

Other Thoughts:

I highly recommend this course if you are in the St. Louis area!!

nice, challenging city park 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Nov 21, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-endicott has a lot of nice amenities such as 4x10 concrete tees, seasonal bathrooms, a nice kiosk w/scorecards, ample parking, and a large shelter.
-the park has great uses of elevation, not only uphill and downhill shots, but a lot of fall away greens too, giving some of the flatter holes more character.
-although the park is a city park, it has enormous amounts of trees and large honeysuckle-type bushes, which allows the holes to be shaped in such a way that there is a lot of shot variety, a lot of straight shots but also r-->l and l-->r
-holes 7 and 12 are great holes. 7 has a tight fairway for the first 300 then up a steep hill to an elevated green, threes are a premium here, 12 is the blairwitch hole...400', S tunnel shot ending in a protected green, 3 is also a good score. The course is worth checking out just for these holes if nothing else.
-3 pin placements that are moved regularly and really vary the shots.
-a couple mando holes.
-a nice practice basket setup with a spiraling set of blocks at different distances from 8' to 50'

Cons:

-I have the same beef with the course signs here that I have with all STL courses...they stink. They have the A, B, C placement distances and a bolt by the current placement, but no accompanying map, it hurts the person who hasn't played there before as they have to walk about half the holes before shooting.
-holes 3-7 are all super soggy along the draw during spring and fall. There has been some effort to alleviate this but it is still bad.
-Navigation can be a bit hairy, bring a course map.

Other Thoughts:

This course is great. It really has a nice secluded feel even though it is in the city and right on an interstate.

Lots of Lost discs 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 1, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

This course gives a great amount of challenge to everyone. They move the baskets every couple weeks, which does mean that the course does change. The baskets have three different placements, A (am), B (advance am), and C (pro). Since putting in the three pin placements the course have never been all A, or B, or C. Course layout is nice with a lot of trees, creeks, and hills.
Hole 1 is next to the pavillion and the basket is down the hill. This is one of the easier holes, yet it is still tree ridden. Hole 2 is back up the hill never the tee for 1. This normally takes 3-5 shots due to the hill and trees. Hole 3 is near the road and the basket is down the hill towards to creek. The tree in front of the tee can bee a difficult one to decide what to do at, left or right. I have seen people go both ways, but to the right work better for many of them. There are also a few baskets down there occationally, so if you feel a safe game is in order, shot down the hill and then determine which basket is the correct one. Hole 4 is across the creek. Watch out because if it has rained for a couple days the creek can get high and cause lots of mud. 4 does have two pin placements near the creek, up the hill, near the large tree. The other pin placement is up the hill and in a grove of trees to the right slightly. This one can be hard to see at certain times of the day due to the sun. This hole is one of the easier ones on this course, but it can be challenging due to the creek and trees. Hole 5 is down the road to the right from the basket for 4. The basket is located down near the group of trees. If you cannot see it is further down and hidden by the trees, or it is lcated past the trees to the right. Do watch out, if your disc goes into one of the yards it could be a lost cause due to large disc eating dogs. Hole 6's tee is back down near hole 4's tee, near the creek. This hole is difficult no matter where the basket is. Sometimes you can see the basket and other times you can't, but it tends to be located near the edge of the creek and away from hole 4. The trees along the creek do eat discs, so try to not throw into them. Once again if it has rained recently this hole could be flooded. Hole 7 is back across the creek, near the tee for 2. This hole is difficult. When shooting out there are two trees near the tee, a small clearing past them, and then lots of woods. The basket is down though the trees, but the first trees can ruin this hole adding an extra shot. If the basket cannot be seen once you are down the wood, it is located up a steep hill and cannot be seen. I suggest a tomahauk to get up the hill. Hole 8 is where many stop for a break, the tee is though the woods (down the hill and thought the woods if the basket for 7 is up the hill). It runs next to hole 7, so watch your head. The basket is located though the trees, there is a nice path but it is narrow, and out into the field. The hole can be near the tee for 9, or 2, or near the basket for 3, depending where pin it is located at. Hole 9's tee is up the hill from hole 2's tee. The basket is located up the hill near the baseball diamond. This hole has lots of tree, but you can see lots of paths though them. Hole 10's tee is near hole 9's basket, so once again watch your head. The basket is located through the trees near the baseball diamond and to the left. You should be able to see the tee for 14 here, the basket will be to the left. Hole 11 is back down the hill near the tee for 9. The basket is located through the two sets of trees (sometimes it is easier to go around to the right of the trees), and deeper into the woods. The basket does move, but the pins are close to each other.
Hole 12 is back into the woods. You can see the basket for 7 if it is in the pin on top of the hill. When you come out of the wood from hole 11, watch your head, becasue the tee is to the left and the basket is to the right. The basket from the tee is located down through the dense forest (trees and brush) and slightly to the right at the very end. To get to hole 13, go thought the woods and up the hill. Once you have found the tee, the basket will be straight and toward the left at the end. Watch out because the disc gods will keep your disc at this hole if you go into the woods. This hole has a great deal of difficultly, so beware.
Hole 14 is dangerous to get to, so watch your head. You have to go back down hole 13 part of the way and then up the hill. The tee is located on the edge of a baseball diamond, but it is rare to see anyone playing on this baseball diamond. The basket is located down the field (follow the tree line), and into the woods at the other end of the field. You can see another basket from the tee and the field this is a practice basket for putting and is near the playground. From the basket for 14 go towards to playground/sand volleyball pit. Hole 15 tee is near the valleyball pit. When walking from 14 look down the hill and into the woods, you should be able to see the basket for 15 down in one of the tree lined coves. Make sure to do this, or you may not know where to shoot. 15 has tree near the tee and one tree that many people have hit, the tree is scared from the discs hitting it. Hole 16 is located though the woods to the right of 15's basket. From the tee the basket can be several places. I suggest shooting out though the large tree and the tree line. You will have to shoot up the hill and the basket could be right there, but it can also be located down across the walking path. You can yell fore, but most non-golfers ignore the warning. Hole 17 is down next to the edge of the walking path and the creek. The basket located down the creek, but on the other side of the creek. There is a concrete turtle with no head at the tree line that scares most people that don't know it is there. The bridge across the creek to between a couple bushes. Once across the bridge look along the tree line for the basket. It could be near the top of the hill, or the bottom near the creek. This is a difficult hole becasue of the tree and not being able to see the basket. Hole 18 is up the hill for 17's basket and in a little alcove. You can see interstate 170 from the tee. the basket is located down near the parking lot and/or edge of the creek and/or tennis courts. This hole can be difficult if thrown wrong. The tree branch in front of the tee can be a problem along with all the trees near the basket. This is an epic hole because by this time you have gone up and down lots of hills and played in alot of trees lines and filled passages.

Cons:

Holes 3, 4, 6, 7 and 17 do flood sometimes when there has been rain for a couple of days.
Hole 7 does have a pin placement up on top of a steep hill that is dangerous to go back down to get to hole 8.
Holes 12, 13, 14, and 15 have a large hazzard of losing discs. I have seen a friend launch his disc out on 13 or maybe it was 14 into the near by interstate, but not many people can get a disc to go that far.
If you end up in the woods look up also, because the tree gods like to keep discs.

Other Thoughts:

I play this course often and it does tend to get a bit crowded on nice days with large groups. I suggest playing early in the morning before the crowds show up. A lot of large group also reserve the pavillion near the playground and hole one, so it can be loud.

nothing special 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 26, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

A number of challenging uphill shots and a lot of challenging trees to avoid.

Cons:

The course is very compact which limits hole lengths and boundaries on a number of occasions. Finding your way to the next hole is difficult if you don't know where your going. Information about the course isn't available. Many boxes have some sort of obstacle directly in front of the them.

Other Thoughts:

There wasn't much special about this course but it's still disc golf!

Pros:

This course is easily accessed from nearly any area around St. Louis. The course plays to every players strengths and exploits weaknesses. Titans on the course helps improve your game too.

Cons:

Don't care to play in this area.

Fun Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 9, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is another great St. Louis course. There are elevation changes, wooded and open holes, hyzer and anhyzer shots. The layout is pretty easy to follow, but I did get turned around a few times (more on that in the cons). This course will challenge you, which I think makes a course fun. The tees were mostly in the long position when I played it. If I remember correctly, there are 3 pin locations per hole. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area, or even if you are planning a DG trip, add this one to your list!

Cons:

As seems to be the norm in St Louis, there are no signs telling you where to go to the next hole. I took pics with my phone of the layout, which helped to some extent, but the alt. pin locations are written on there and the sign is kind of old, so i had to kinda look around sometimes. Especially going from hole 12 (which I think is the "Blair Witch" hole), to hole 13. I took a little trail near the pin on 12 and I ended up at the basket for 13. Not a huge deal, but after a hole like that, it would be nice to know where to go. That one is tough...
The course was really, really muddy when I was there, but a recent snowstorm melt-off did that. I don't think it would hold water for an extended period of time. I only saw one guy out there and he gave me a scorecard (which he found on the ground - the box at tee one was empty) and it had a map on it, so that helped too. Of course, these types of things only affect the first time you play, but it still makes you spend time figuring out where to go instead of just playing on. The parking was a little confusing too. You can't park anywhere near hole one. Most of the spots are near 18's basket and there is no sign telling you where hole one is. I was told by a friend where to go, but if you didn't know, you could walk around for some time before finding the first tee.

Other Thoughts:

With all that being said, i really liked this course and hope to play it again soon.

FYI - the first tee is behind the rec area building to the left of the main drive. Follow the little park road to that buliding and it's right there behind it.

There are spots right when you pull in, which is where I parked, or you can pull down to the right and be near the 18 basket. Either place puts you on the wrong side of the park to get to hole 1.

At least hole #1 is downhill 2+ years

Pros:

I like this course better than Jefferson Barracks. It flows so much better from one hole to the next. Lots of different shots required here. This is Nikko's home course and he is there on Mondays a lot of the time. The harder shots were through wooded areas that were slightly uphill. The back 9 has the more strange holes. Blair Witch and the Ball Diamond holes didn't bother me at all , In fact I liked both. You go from one extreme to the next. I just love the pin placements back in the gnarly bushes and behind trees. Very fun course for beginner and novice alike.

Cons:

Police are driving their cruisers around to see where you are. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Do they know something I don't? The area surrounding the park is a little seedy but we didn't have any trouble there. I didn't like the highway sounds on the East side of the park but that is only for a couple of holes.

Other Thoughts:

Only playing this once is a disservice to the course. I hate it that I live so far away. If I were to live in St.Louis, I would make this my first choice. JB is pretty nice too and I haven't tried Souix Passage.
