Always try to throw something in the middle, the rough is getting better but is still hard. I like the roc, roc and then a fairway driver. This will make a nice 4.
this is to the left. If you can throw straight and keep it the fairway past the basket that is good. But a slight hyzer is good. Make sure you give it enough as short will leave you in the thick.
For a RHBH throwlay the left side lane to the basket with a straight flying midrange that you can control well. Don't try to land your disc near the basket. Instead, throw a straight shot (with a little hyzer angle) that lands towards the top of the hill. The disc will skip and slide towards the basket. Play the shot to the top left of the hill, gravity and the spin of the disc will handle the rest.
2 ways to play this hole for RHBH.
1. Play the skip shot just short of 1/2 way down the fairway. Land/ skip your shot just past the narrow gap in the fairway, off the top of the hill. The shot must be low and fairly flat. Too much hyzer before your disc hits the ground and it leaves you well short of the basket. It's not as much of a hyzer as it seems. A flat/ baby hyzer angle pre skip will give you a good chance of getting up there for a putt.
2. A high midrange shot with a good amount of hyzer angle gets to the basket surprisingly easily. The hole seems long because you can't see it.. and all those trees.. But, it's only 279ft. You only need to throw the drive 249 ft to get a 30ft putt. It's easier to hit the gap in the fairway with a midrange disc. Just make sure to throw the shot high, about 15ft high or so seems to be perfect. With the midrange the hyzer angle flattens as the disc tries to flip to flat. So, a little more angle than you would throw on a driver is what you will want to use. If you tend to have a hard time hitting the gap on this one try this tip.
Throw something off the tee that flies straight w/ out a lot of side to side movement, doesn't hook a lot and lands flat. Roc, Buzz, Leopard, Teebird, Eagle, Stalker, etc.. A midrange disc or fairway driver. Landing in the middle on this hole off the tee is key. (just like hole 1 and 16)
The same discs are good choices for your 2nd shot as well (unless you are in a good spot to throw a faster disc , i.e. have good footing)
Keep it in the middle on this hole and you will get more 3s and 4s than 5s and 6s.
Throw a straight to overstable putter as it doesn't take as much arm speed to throw a putter and to keep it on line. The slower arm speed allows you to hit your line more easily. Throw the straight gap towards the 'tall stump' and play a baby hyzer and skip (everything skips/ slides on the pine needles) The most open part of the 'fairway' is the last left 1/3rd of the fairway where there are a lot of open putting lanes to the basket.
