I Can't See The .Church Youth Group Playing This Course! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 26, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

The First Baptist Church of Bryan is this enormous mega church. There were lots of cars in the parking on a Tuesday morning.

The disc golf starts at, what I astutely deduced, is the backside of the church and then kinda plays all the way around the church counterclockwise. The tee signs are simple little, brown poles which just have the hole number on them. There aren't really tee but just slightly worn spots by the sign.

The baskets are DGA portable models which have BOTH cemented in and chained down into the concrete base. I think the Baptists might have been victimized by some basket thievery in the past. My goodness, Who would steal disc golf baskets from a church? That might entail breaking 2-3 commandments and will surely result in a lifetime of eternal damnation!

Hole 1 is probably 240' but forces you to annie around a grove of trees. Hole # 2 is probably 300' throwing across a drainage basin. # 3 is probably a touch shorter throwing back around this basin. # 4 is a shirt Ace Run throwing back towards the church. The 5th hole finds you teeing off directly towards the Lowe's Hardware out in the distance. It was here that I must have suffered from temporary amnesia or something because nothing about the course seemed to make any sense to me after this point.

After an extensive search, I never located # 6 anything. It seems like it should be in the front somewhere? I knew the course wraps around the church. At the far side, I found a basket set close to the # 8 tee sign. I never figured out where the tee sign is fir # 7? Or is it really # 7? The # 8 signs points towards the wooded area over a small hill. But there was no sign of a basket anywhere over that hill? # 9 then plays towards a basket down the hill from the pinkish colored maintenance building. The basket is set very close to the deep, dark forest.

Cons:

The grass on the first 7 holes was wispy and fairly tall. It didn't hide your disc but did seem to collect a lot of morning dew. It was wet.

Navigation. Navigation. Navigation.

No tee pads. Funny, my online map doesn't show the infamous 6 & 7.

Missing baskets? Missing tee pads? Missing signs! I think the minister and the organist are also missing.

Other Thoughts:

On the right side of the church, in the area of the # 5 basket, are a bunch of stakes with pink ribbons. I think they might be marking off a spot to add some more parking. Now this church already has more parking spots than A & M's football stadium. How many more spots do they need?

I'd like to know the story of the the missing holes or my missing mind. Feel free to contact me and set me straight, in case I've missed something obvious.

And if you find the missing organist, call her husband. He's worried sick.
