Pearl Harbor disc golf 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 28, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

I played course with David Combs, one of the designers. You need him or Joe in order to have a basket, since it is a temporary course. It is well layed out with a variety of shots using water, trees, bushes and the old buildings on the base. Wind of course is a big factor.
There is 1 permenant basket for hole 6 which is on top of an old bunker surrounded by trees and bushes.

Cons:

The only real con is the fact that they cannot put in permenant baskets.
Also there is always a possibility of David and Joe getting transfered, so if there aren't others to take over, course could go away.

Other Thoughts:

Playing disc golf in Hawaii, let alone on a miltary base in Pearl Harbor waas awesome! They have set up a good course with what they have to work with. They use alot of objects so that the baskets are set in the right spots. They also have set up tee boxes with paint or string and nails stuck into ground for somewhat of a permenant marking.
Course is right on Pearl Harbor, so if there are any non disc golfers, they can use beach that is right next to hole #1 or nap under large trees with the breeze coming off of ocean
