Great Mountain Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 5, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Great elevation change
-Variety of hole distance
-Technical shots with many trees and mountain bikers to avoid

Cons:

Easy to lose discs - The further you head into the northwest aspects the shrubbery/grass/plants increase in height. Be sure to keep an eye on where your disc lands.
Busy - Played on the 5th of July during Widespread Panic Music Festival. There were hoards of people, 6+ people to a group and families mixed in.

Other Thoughts:

Hole 4 slopes off to the left and the foliage increases, very easy to hook or fade WAY downhill.
The elevation change and size of the course may have some players quitting early. Make sure to walk 80-100 yards up hill from hole 2 to find the tee box for hole 3. Hole 11 is an awesome downhill throw, break out the big guns for this 553 ft hole.

Check It Out 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 9, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

this course is very scenic set on the Targhee ski resort. The resort area is nice and open year round for food, drink, or disc sale. If you go to the lodging check in they will give you a full page color map of the course which probably wont need but it is nice to have. As far as the course plays its another one of those tough par 3 courses with many holes that i would rate par 3.5. great use of elevation and trees. also very easy to follow with a very logical flow.

Cons:

if your not in the best shape this couse can get you being a mountain course there is a lot of up and down and its set at above 8000' where the air is much thinner and it's easier to lose your breath

Other Thoughts:

beautiful area with the Grand Tetons in on the drive and yellowstone national park just a few miles away
