The pines in the mid-fairway position are the main obstacle forcing line shaping on this hole. Clearly, if you have the distance, and can shape a shot left to right, the bigger opening is over there. Just avoid getting into the shrubbery left, as it pinches toward the basket for the finish. There is a lane right of the pines, but it does require more precision off the tee. This is another job for my Underworld (rhbh, on a firm long anny line)! If there's a group behind you, clear off by going forward after the basket, through the gap, and to the drive on your left. If you're not crowded, coming back up the fairway will get you to the shelter at the corner of the parking lot.
