Easy to navigate and fun for beginners. Even better players can use the park for good practice. Plenty of parking and all holes have tee pads and info for the hole. Good variety considering it's just a nine hole and I am a BIG fan of 9 hole courses putting two tee pads for each hole so you can easily make a 18 hole game here.

Some holes are overly simple and I'll use hole 3 as the example. It's just a 120 foot putt shot with nothing in your way and you are up hill from the basket so it's just too easy. Guy who handles the gates closes before dark quite often in my experience so make sure that it's not past dinner time or he'll probably kick you out of the park before you are done. The park can get pretty swampy at times and hole 1 and 2 are up on a hill so it doesn't get mowed as often. I could be wrong on this last part, but I'd bet really good money that some of the distances listed on the signs at this course are wrong.

Fun little course. My favorite part is that it's never packed so you can always get some good golf in even if you are short on time.

Bathrooms on the premises as well as a playground, some ballfields, and basketball and tennis courts. Lots of tall trees factor into most of the holes and a creek/drainage ditch provides some water hazard wariness on one hole. There's a wooden post with pegs for holding your bag at each tee. Signage is ok in that you have hole # and distance on each post. Baskets are in great shape. Tee pads are generous and in good shape though the ones on the side of the hill are going to need attention soon from washouts. Navigation is pretty straightforward with the map on the sign as you enter the parking area or available online.

The park makes excellent use of the elevation on three holes which adds some good variety to the course. Lines are balanced between lefty/righty and the holes have multiple routes to the pin. The long tees add some distance and change lines in most cases. A few private yards close to pins force controlled approaches. Many of the short tees are stone cold birdies for most players with a couple of ace runs thrown in, especially #9. Course plays pretty quick, even from the longs. The whole course is nominally in view at all times so it's family friendly if you want to let the kids play while you throw plastic.

Short holes are short (max 260'). Played this course in early spring so there were still tons of dead leaves on the ground which made disc loss a possibility on the first few holes. Some casual standing water on 5 and 6 seems pretty likely to be there after every rainstorm and given the shade from the tree canopy above, may linger for a few days.

You throw over the road on three occasions and the playground may be a little too close to #5's fairway for those with control issues. Nobody was using the ballfield the day I played, but a game in progress could cause issues with #6.

This park is a little out of the way and buried deep within a residential neighborhood. Not exactly a stop and play course on your way through Little Rock.

For a nine hole course, there's some decent fun factor here, even on the short tees. This isn't your typical fairway/putter, open-field-around-a-park course. Beginners will like the challenge of the course and more experienced players will have the opportunity to work on aspects of their game in a fun layout that has variable challenges with the multiple tees. I challenge anybody not to want to empty their bag on 9. Overall a fun little course that isn't a destination by any means, but was a pleasant surprise.

Hindman Park DGC holds a great deal of variety for only nine holes because they've invested in two nicely-sized, trapezoidal concrete tee pads for each hole, and an extra-short tee pad on #9 (making it three options there!). Each tee has a sign indicating par and distance, and has the great (and simple) idea of having two PVC rods, so four players can keep their bags hung up off the ground as they tee off. There are benches and all the usual small community park amenities and recreations at hand. The course is ideal for players from the casual through Intermediate levels, as the 19 (!) hole options range from 129 to 357 feet. If you are just trying to play a quick, fun round, you can enjoy the Red tees and go for ace runs and deuces, but if you want to challenge yourself, play the Blues...or do both if you have an hour or so available.

Lines of flight are shaped by the moderately wooded park trees and the excellent use of elevation as you circle the park counter-clockwise, finishing with a signature ninth hole where you can empty your bag on the downhill shots or take advantage of the one shortie (Pink) tee. You will have the chance to try a lot of direct routes, but there are places where left- and right-turning throws are best.

The flow of the course is relatively self-explanatory, if you know there are a plethora of tees to choose from. I always grab a map online when I can, just in case. You'll want to go to the left after the uphill 1st hole, cross the driveway bridge to get from 5 to 6, and look to the clearing in the woods for the long 7 tee.

Playing the paved areas as OB will add more challenge, but it will never really be a traditionally difficult, tournament-style course. There actually could be some steps installed on the steep slopes for holes 1 and 9. Some folks might get a little too enthusiastic on a couple of holes and wind up in the private yards that border the park. With multiple tees, some kind of next tee signage would help first timers. And finally, as with most community park courses, the disc golf does have the potential to cross paths with other park patrons, so players need to be cautious.

Played a late December round at dawn here on a seven state road trip. As a traveler looking for a short, but fun course, Hindman was a treat to play.

I left a bag of discs on the Hindman Community Park sign...we played the course while passing through Little Rock on our way home to the Dallas Texas area. We found a disc and called the local number and hid his disc in a tree and asked him to check on the bag I left. Both the bag and his disc were not recovered. Any one know if there is a lost and found?

Its a fun short course. It has great elevation change and very open. Baskets are still new so they catch well. They also have a spot to stop and cook out. They have 2 pads for each hole so that can make it an 18 hole course

Some houses are somewhat close to the course and its a little confusing the first time out. The holes are pretty short so only really need a fairway driver, mid-range, and putter.

Its fun and very easy on the arm so you can do a 36 hole round or do 18 there then hop over to Morehart and do another 18 in under 4 hours.

Clean park, lots of birdies, shady and cool, easy to navigate, nice mix of trees and open throwing lanes

fairly easy course love to play it for a quick 18 after work. Has good elevation changes. The Neighborhood has really cleaned this park up the locals are talking about putting in another 9 in the woods off hole #5 where they are also talking about putting in hiking trails and setting up climbing routes on a rock outcrop.

It was a nice day to play disc golf when I played, I really enjoyed my round and wound up meeting some of the group that got the course put in. They hope to have more holes soon and maybe even another course nearby.

It is one of the best 9 hole courses I have played.

Seems to be a good course for beginners. The holes are laid out in a big circle so you don't have to walk far from hole to the next tee.

The terrain is varied and changes with small hills and depressions. Trees are sparse but make an appearance on some holes.

Great course for a quick play or go around a second time and use the alternate tee pads for an 18 hole game.

Brush is in the process of being cleared away, but the fairways are somewhat defined.

It's possible to lose your disc to someones back yard on hole 3 if you're not careful.

Some tee pads are missing the markers (AKA painted orange rocks). Also, the tees aren't clearly defined with a hole number and can take a moment to find your first time.
