Great scenery, Fun course, not very technical 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 24, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

A very nice course in terms of enjoying the scenery. A good portion of holes allow a player to let loose on the drive. With having a course map (provided at the information booth near the tram), it was easy to figure out where to throw and which hole is next. A few downhill shots really allow for maximum distance drives.

Cons:

One should note that the course lacks creativity and technicality. Although there are a few technical shots, there could have been more with a bit better course planning.

Other Thoughts:

The course does provide a few unique shots, but if you are looking for a challenge this course lacks in that area. However, If you play disc golf just for pure enjoyment, this course does not disappoint.

Grand course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 9, 2008 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

great location, fun layout, fairly easy to follow.

Cons:

poor tee boxes. I hate worrying about falling down on big throws. could lose a disc in wildflower fileds (there are worse ways to lose a disc)

Other Thoughts:

Worth playing for sure. T

Strap on your boots 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 8, 2009 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

The view and area is awesome. Navigation is easy. The course takes a natural path up the mountain and then back down the ski slopes. There is elevation changes on every hole and some challenging tree shots (see the picture for #4) you can shoot the gap or go wide right. Challenging and fun course to play.

You get to throw your disc over 500 feet downhill and that is my favorite part of playing ski resorts.

Cons:

Tee pads are very rough. If you have a lot of steps in your approach, or use your legs a lot, you'll have to back it off. I throw a lot of side-arm on this course to avoid breaking my ankle.

Other Thoughts:

There is a series of tournaments played each summer sponsored by the snowboarding/mountain biking shop near the first tee box. There is a raffle for prizes and free beer for all participants. The shop has discs, maps, and score cards.

After hole nine there is a bonus hole throwing downhill to the practice basket at the bottom of the course near the first tee pad. In case you need a tie-breaker.
