Scrubby with lots of blind holes 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 6, 2015 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Good location near SJSU in the middle of San Jose. Multiple pin positions on every hole.

Cons:

The terrain is tough: dusty, with scrabbly brush, lots of sock stickers, and some poison oak (the local club has done a good job removing what they can). There were a few well-designed holes (#1, #3, #14), but in general I was disappointed. In the layout I played, 11 holes were blind, 5 were partially obscured, and 2 were clearly visible. Many of the holes lacked a clear route. High potential for lost discs.

Other Thoughts:

Other layouts (pin positions) may lead to a substantially different experience. I only saw what is likely a particularly challenging layout.
