Lambs Creek Disc Golf Course shows a unique skillful design in the use of a meandering stream throughout, steep hillside, and thick trees. The course displays a well thought out plan on placement and workmanship of tees, baskets, and signage. The tees have names that compliment the Pioneer Grill and Saloon bar and eatery, which upon the land the course is located a mere 5 miles from Menomonie and UW-Stout. Included are ample seating and garbage collection containers. The paths are well designed, groomed, and kept up best as can be; even though Mother Nature adds flavor to challenge in play with the weather and seasons. Lambs Creek DGC encompasses characteristics of short/technical, water/elevation, risk/reward, and challenging/satisfying. There are an additional four baskets colorfully lit up as night decoration and putting practice area close to the Pioneer Grill and Saloon outdoor entertainment and recreation area and right next to hole 1.
Last but not least are the amenities of the Pioneer Grill and Saloon offering a full menu. Here is an excellent place for camaraderie, great place to kick back, relax, and warm up. Above all you can enjoy the locals, events going on, live entertainment, music and FOOD.

At times it can be muddy and slippery in a couple of places.

Lambs Creek Disc Golf Course is rewarding to play in any season. You will enjoy the display of Wisconsin's finest natural wonders. Here is a great getaway and course to play only a few miles from Menomonie.

This course has a great natural feel to it. Combined with the wide variety of complex and technical shots and the fact that it is located next to a delicious bar, this is one of the best 9 hole courses I have ever played.

New concrete tee pads, and the water hazards on 4 of the holes also add to the experience. It has a good flow and is easy to follow.

Very short holes. Really no need for a driver most of the time.

This course is very steep and muddy in the spring.

There is supposed to be a $1 pay to play.

Order some food before you go out to play and you can have an awesome meal on top of an awesome course. It's fun for all skill levels and you should try it if you are in the area.

this is a great course!!! i love the elevation changes. its a tight course which makes you have to control your shots more, not very long holes but difficult none the less. the creek is what makes this course stand out, i love the over the water shots and just beging in hte woods hearing the creek as you play...

needs a little work, but its still a new course, some of the holes need errioson control to make them a little easier to walk.

this is a very exceptional course located behind the tavern/resturant. the lighted putting baskets are a very nice added touch! with a little more work this course would be one of the best in the area!!!

This is honestly my favorite nine holes I have ever played, and one of my favorite courses, period. Its very technical: full of tunnel shots through trees, over terrain, and around a river, usually all at the same time.

The course is owned by and starts out next to the memorable Pioneer Bar & Grill (yes, alcohol is most definitely allowed, provided you get it from them!)
It weaves through the beautiful, thick woods so typical of northwestern Wisconsin. Most of the course is on and around the steeply sloped banks of the crystal clear creek running through the woods behind the bar. Every hole is very unique like a signature hole at another course, if the signature hole had the most trees of any hole on the course.

The course is deceptive and technical. The ability to drive further than 300 ft will not help you AT ALL. Almost every tee shot is blind, and disc placement is key. when you look at the course par in relation to hole length, on hole 4 especially, its easy to say "ha, a 227 ft par 4, puh-leaze!" So did I, but after playing it you will understand that the pars are very justified. The hardest par 3 is Death Valley (hole 3), which is only 177 feet, but plays across the steep wooded hillside, halfway up. By steep I mean its hard to not slide down when you walk, across it, and the only flat landing zone is the basket itself. Awesome!

Nice raised gravel tee boxes, kept level by logs on all sides. Hole signs on the ground are marked on angle-cut slices of log. The whole course is in keeping with the rugged mystique of the bar. Very impressive. Baskets all look brand new, and are clearly numbered in black stencil.

Bring long pants and bug spray. The fairly long stuff covering the ground has little pricklers on them, and the bugs are hungry in the woods. The course is well maintained, but with no trimmed fairways. Naturally, this is understandable as it is too heavily wooded to push a mower through, and it would take forever to do it with a weedwhacker. THe trees are thick enough that the underbrush isnt too thick on the "fairways" but the rough is a bit longer.

The holes all are very aptly named, following the Pioneer theme. For example, hole 4 has three routes through the trees to get to the pin, and is aptly named The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. Admittedly, when I played it I think I got more of the Ugly than the other two, but what can ya do.

I love this course, but like all 9 holer's, wish there was more of it. If the same insane genius who designed the current holes expanded it to 18, it would be like the best christmas present ever.

What a great idea, a fun, challenging course located at & owned by a bar and grill. Awesome. Grab a beer, play this course and you'll understand the true meaning of zen.
