Pros:
-A wooded course in the UK (more pleaseeee!)
-A really really fun design. There's a mix of elevation, left and right turning shots and some technical (if short, par 4s). General concensus from players I've played with (including someone who's played Northwoods Black) is that this is like a shrunken, easier Northwoods in vibe
-Aesthetically it's a wonderful experience, like stepping into a disney fairytale woodland (think the animated Robin Hood with foxes)
-Solid baskets
-It's free
-Really well targeted to the local population (with reds and blues), clearly well thought out by the local club that supports the courses and ran the project
Cons:
-Lacking in signage and tee areas (the concrete slabs have already experienced some severe damage)
-By all accounts it's a little bit sketchy of a park in the dark
-Some shots are a bit blind/near paths, defnitely worth playing in groups
-It can get VERY boggy when it's been wet
-Navigation is somewhat of a pain in its current state
Other Thoughts:
This is a fantastic compliment to Longford Park, and I think both courses together show what an important job the Manchester Club does in leading community focussed development of the sport.
