Pros:
This is a great course to practice your mid-range game in. There are mature trees on nearly every hole and it presents a lot of opportunities to try different angles. If it was closer to home i would play it at least a couple of times per month just for practice. The signage was surprisingly good for such a small park.
The lack of tee pads was a bit weird, but not that big of a deal. Again, since this was a practice round I was sort of calling my own shots and pretty quickly I abandoned the course layout and did things a bit 'abstract'.
Cons:
As noted in other reviews, in order to squeeze 9 holes into a very small space they had to run several fairways across one another. This can make things a bit confusing. Twice I played Hole #7 only to find out I was putting towards the basket for Hole #2. Not sure what could really be done to fix this. As noted, for me this is more of a practice course so i wasn't keeping score.
The only other problem was lots of standing water. The course is entirely flat and we have had a very, very wet 6 months so I don't know if this is just an accumulation of months of rain, or if they have some drainage problems. It was very challenging to find dry spots to throw from and my towel was covered in mud from cleaning off discs by the end of the round.
Other Thoughts:
This is a bit too long of a drive for me from Louisville when there are so many other really great, full-size courses nearby. I was camping a Clifty falls for the weekend with friends and made the easy 30 minute drive to Linza Graham on Saturday morning. Really pretty drive and Scottsburg is a neat little town. There was a pharmacy with a soda fountain in the back, will be checking that out the next time I am in the area.
