Very Nice Warm-up/Family Course 2+ years drive by

Pros:
- this is a great little warm up course before going out to the big course
- fun and interesting layout
- great course for practicing approaches both BH and FH

Other Thoughts:
- I'm not going to put a con because if you look at the course for what it is, you will appreciate it as a decent course for learning and/or warm up, like a pitch and putt golf course
- the park staff was very friendly and informative...I really want to put a thanks out to the park ranger who took a few minutes to give a few instructions on how to get more distance to my wife and I who just picked up the game

Family Friendly Pitch and Putt 2+ years

Pros:
This newly installed 9-hole course plays up and down a rocky hillside, giving a nice variety of short, uphill and downhill shots.
Hole lengths vary from 114 to 221 feet, with most playing either up or down the hillside. Fairways are mowed which makes it simple to find your discs. Final hole finishes with a basket set directly in front of a huge boulder which is interesting to drive to.
Very nice gravel tee pads. the gravel seems to be cemented somehow, making these more like concrete. They are smooth and level.
Course is right next to the Visitor Center so gives good access to parking, restrooms, and water. Inside of the Visitor Center are snacks and cold drinks as well as a modest assortment of discs.
Interpretive signs along the course give interesting information about the geology, plants, and history of the area.

Homemade baskets catch fine, but the top is a thin steel plate that looks like it could cut a disc badly if struck.
Signage is very basic, but frankly is all that you need for this course.
The course plays in the same area as a nature trail, so you could have some folks moving through as you play. With the short hole lengths this shouldn't be much of an issue.

Other Thoughts:
This is a great little course to introduce players to the game, for families, or as a warm-up before you take on the (much) more challenging 18-hole course in the park.
