Pros:
This is certainly a course for those who need to practice their short drives/game. Most holes are 200-220ish feet in length...so let your putter and midrange game fly! There is great elevation and tunnel shots with much scenery with all the pine and cedar trees. The front 9 is all about placement of shots on each hole....the back nine starts to allow you to open up a bit with longer holes and 300-400 ft holes. This course is WELL layed out so take your time and have fun.
Cons:
Yes...the tee pads are small, but this allows you to slow your swing down and focus on control. Don't be scared after the first hole because it being very short (around 150ft straight shot)....it gets a lot better after that....but hey, you may get the chance to ACE a hole! A couple holes didn't have the tee signs...but don't worry, look around and you will figure it out. You may get confused where to go after the 17th hole where to go...I got confused myself....here is a hint: follow the big round stone patio area tot eh left and you will see a long tunnel shot through the woods to get to the 18th (definately needs a arrow to show you where to go). There is some tall grassy areas, so watch where your disc goes...hence I lost a putter on a hole. Do NOT wear hairspray or deodorant because the bugs will LOVE you while you are in the wooded areas.
Other Thoughts:
This was a great experience and I really felt awesome after playing this course. It really made me want to come back to practice my short game more and to teach myself MORE control and to slow down my swing. At no point I thought I was I danger of losing my discs...even though I did...so my advise is to just watch more closely to where you let your discs fly. Thank you Menomonie!
