I played this course three times during the 2011 Yonder Mountain Harvest Festival. This course, though not challenging distance wise, always has danger lurking on one side of you or the other because of three fishing ponds this course loops around.

The ponds are on the side of a hill, one on top of the other which adds some fun elevation.

Most of the holes are well designed, with 3 (an anhyzer shot where you can just see the top of the basket over a hill and down a ridge to the left), 4 (downhill off the ridge of a pond), and 7 (downhill off a pond ridge and through a stand of trees) being my favorite.

We noticed that a lot of people were playing 7 from the top of the ridge rather than the marked tee location which is a rather boring shot. Be sure to play this tee location!

I had fun every time I played this course, and I'd definitely play it again when I go back.

Doesn't really take advantage of the mountain terrain. Would be sweet if they added 9 that were in the forest.

I hear during Wakarusa people were camping on the course.

I think you can go play anytime but I'm not sure if this course is only open during special events. Call before you make the trip (or don't, the drive is beautiful).

Bring some discs that float, I saw a lot of people throw their discs into the pond.
