Pros:
Mach V's, serviceable.
Short tees (turf) are 9 X 9, fair.
Cons:
--Seriously multipurpose park.
--Holes frequently crossing walking paths, left field of a baseball diamond, looping around tennis courts
--Long tees in many cases are just throwing from and down the walking paths
Other Thoughts:
...it seems to be the most common type of DG course:
Flat (because the other uses demand it), flirting with whatever hills and trees skirt the edges of the park, and screaming "afterthought".
Understanding that this is what you're getting at Northview is the key to not being disappointed by it. It does what it was designed to do--passably, as the star system indicates. If you want to check it out, I would advise doing it when you can be sure it will be nearly empty--fall, winter or early spring, and during school/banker's hours. Otherwise, the course fails on even the most basic criteria of offering a place to safely throw a disc.
I'm sure many if not most people start playing on courses like this, so they definitely matter. They just don't satisfy once the hook has been set.
